My doctor started me on Contrave at the full dose of 2 pills 2 times per day. After reading the packaging I see it is recommended to start at a lower dose and increase each week. I already took 2 doses of 2 pills. Has anyone else began at the full dose? ## Hello, Bird87! How are you? Yes, that is a very high dose to start with, it's usually titrated up one pill a week until you're taking 4 a day. Jumping so high immediately could cause you to experience many more side effects, than usual. The FDA lists them as possibly including nausea, dizziness, nervousness, insomnia, anxiety and anorexia. I took this in the past and recently started back up. Been on it about 5 days now and last night started experiencing heart "flutters". I have had issues with this in the past and take atenolol for that but since I started back on the phentermine, been having them again. Is this a normal reaction to phentermine? They're a fluid retention tablet given to me with phentermine weight loss medication, as phentermine makes u really thirsty and causes you to drink a lot of water; but these still have u retaining fluid.

I understand that you should NOT drink alcohol while on Contrave. My question is this - how long should I wait before starting Contrave after consuming my last alcoholic drink, which has been two days ago now. I have read of the risks of possible seizures when abruptly stopping alcohol consumption to begin Contrave, but what is considered the cutoff? Hello...After taking oleanz 2.5 mg for 4 months i have put on weight. Now it's difficult to reduce. Can u please help and suggest how many months it may take before I'm back to my normal weight?....So far it's been 3 months since i stopped taking oleanz. ## That can be a typical side effect of this medication, as reported by the NIH. Has it been specified in quantitative measures what constitutes "High Fat Foods" (e.g., 30 g/day)? Are we talking about two sticks of butter or two French Fries? ## @Miss Brown, When I hear the words "high fat" mentioned in a clinical context, as I have in college textbooks for nutrition, anything in excess of 30g/day seems to fit that bill. However in my opinion, a high fat diet could also constitute a lower or greater number depending on whether someone is on a specialized diet. Also, according to the FDA, "high fat" is defined as 50% of calories coming from fat. For this reason, I'd probably encourage you to get in touch with a registered dietician for more specific details. My wife was on phentermine, and then qsymia. She came off qsymia and is now full of anxiety and anger. Please help. ## Withdrawal effects can be normal, if someone abruptly stops a medication, she may also experience nausea, diarrhea and headache. Why did she stop taking it? These symptoms should go away after a few weeks, once her body gets used to no longer having the medication added. Is she on any other medications?

I'm currently taking adapex & topamax for weight loss. Can I take trintellex also? I think I'm going through menopause & I'm not sleeping & having problems with speaking my mind... in your face. I know that adapex is an amphetamine... I've been on it before & had no problems with sleeping or anger. My Dr. prescribed trintellex... I have GAD (anxiety) and part of my anxiety is taking medication. I really want to try Belviq, if I had an anxiety attack would I be able to take Xanax or Ativan for the attack? My husband has been taking Amalong A 50mg Tablet for BP for 5 years. He is loosing weight continuously since then and from 70kg he has come down to 60kg now (underweight). I have been on fluoxetine for 2.5 years and my Dr. put me on Contrave to help me loose weight. Last week, he told me to stop Fluoxetine one day and start 1:1 Contrave the next. Yes, I've had the nausea and dizziness, but at the end of my first week on Contrave, I am down in the dumps, sleepy all the time and just don't feel like doing anything. I am 24 yrs old. My tsh was 26 and t3/t4 was normal. My physician prescribed me 50mcg thyronorm so I have been taking it since september and am experiencing weight loss. Once I checked my tsh, t3 and t4 it was normal. Is it necessary to continue this medication for lifelong treatment? Orange triangle with gp on 1 side and a line on the other. I was told it's 20mg anavar. Is this accurate? ## It is an anabolic steroid, I can tell you that much, it is manufactured by Geneza Pharmaceuticals, however, they do use this marking on all of their pills, so I cannot be certain of which steroid it contains, or of the dosage, I've found conflicting information. The FDA, however, does warn that they have been banned in the U.S., except under some very strict medical criteria. Does anyone know the dosage of this?
