My husband has been taking Amalong A 50mg Tablet for BP for 5 years. He is loosing weight continuously since then and from 70kg he has come down to 60kg now (underweight). Please let me know whether the tablet has any effect. He is not doing any diet for losing weight. Please help.

This class of medications typically cause weight gain, as a side effect, according to the NIH. Other side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased urination.
Is he on any other medications? Has he changed his eating habits, or exercise routine recently?
