I've been on contrave for about 5 or 6 months. I went from 205 to 188 in first 3 months. I'm back up to 195 now. It seems the medication has lost its effectiveness. Please help. I love this medication. No side effects for me. I don't want to regain my weight. Should my doctor increase the dose. I'm taking 2 in the morning and then 2 before I go to sleep at night. So 2 about 10-12 hours apart. ## The same thing has happened to me at the exact same point in my usage. I lost about 13 pounds and now flat and feel like my eating is increased some. Four a day is the maximum. I tried to change up the times but nothing working yet. ## 4 pills a day is the maximum dosage that the FDA allows. I took one pill of bel iq and A few hours later I had a massive migraine, nausea, and vomiting. I slept and still , two days later, I have a headache, a milder headache, but still a headache. I have read all the side effects, so I know what Belviq does to some, but I haven't heard mine happening to anyone else. I haven't taken another pill and was wondering if I should or not. ## I have never heard of Belviq and don't know what it's taken for. I just want to reply to this post because it worries me. Okay so i have been taking contrave for about a week, but my question is, how many hours after taking contrave can i take advil or tylenol? ## There is a risk of liver problems, such as liver damage and liver failure, according to FDA reports, so you should not take contrave with either one of these medications. Have you informed your doctor? They should be able to advise you on something that will not put you in danger.

I've been on Contrave for a year and now I'm starting to notice my appetite returning. I lost 70 lbs and don't want to go backwards but I'm literally starving all the time. Can I take 3 at one time instead of two and then two at night? Is that too much? I haven't had any side effects. ## No, you should not adjust your dosage, without your doctor's approval. Hello, I was prescribed Belviq by my PCP. I am excited and scared to take this medication all in one. I am about to take my first pill here shortly. I ate a little breakfast to make sure I won't get nauseated. But again, I am looking forward and hoping that I don't have any of those nasty side effects. ## Hello, Tony! How are you? Is it ok to take 600 mg ibuprofen for back pain with contrave? I have been on Contrave for over four months and I have lost 35 lbs., so far. Occasionally I get very bad headaches which Advil or Tylenol just won't help. Can I take 1/2 of a vicodin to see if that might help, or is that dangerous? ## Hello, Pat! How are you? One of the active ingredients in Contrave, as listed by the FDA, is Naltrexone and it's other use is as an opiate blocker, so the Vicodin will have no effect. It would be best to consult your doctor about what you can take for the headaches that will work. I am concerned while on Contrave if I have a wreck, what could be given for adequate pain relief, would naltrexone negate all meds and I suffer in agony? Just wondering, I had hip replacement and woke up in agony, wouldn't want anyone to go through that ## Hi Brenda, That's a really good question actually. My findings suggest that your suspicion surrounding Naltrexone is true. According to NIH (US National Institute of Health), Naltrexone completely blocks the subjective and other effects of opioids. I am on week 2 and the nausea is really bad. Vomiting and constipation at times have started. I am losing weight. I'm also 14 months post gastric sleeve surgery. I need help with the nausea. I would like to know the secondary effects in Adipotrim ## I can't find a listing of the exact ingredients, however, it is a natural supplement that they claim can help with weight loss. I'm prescribed adipex as a diet pill and have been out and not made it up to get a new prescription. Was given adderall on Saturday by a friend who said it had the same effects as adipex. Got a random urine test at work Monday morning (only a day and a half after taking) and it was sent to a lab. Does adderall show up the same as adipex since I have a prescription for the adipex? ## Did you ever get an answer for this?
