Did They Stop Making The Roxane 54 411 Buprenorphine? (Page 4) (Top voted first)

I have been getting the generic Subutex Roxane brand 54 411 Buprenorphine tablets for months now from Walmart pharmacy and the past two times I've gotten my prescription filled there, I was given a different generic made by Hi Tech with an 8 and an arrow. I asked them why the change because those little tablets just are not the same and they said the Roxane ones could not be ordered. I called around to other pharmacies I have gotten my prescription filled at before also and was also told that the Mylan M 924s can no longer be ordered either. What's going on with the Roxane and Mylan Buprenorphine tablets? Did they stop making them or is there some kind of shortage? I had the choice of getting the small Hi Tech tablets which seem alot less potent than the Roxane or the Actavis 153 half moon orange tablets which I cannot stand at all. Has anyone else had a problem getting the Roxanes or the Mylans or know for sure what's happening? I did see that Roxane merged with West Ward but don't know if that has anything to do with it or when the merge occurred and the 54 411 tablets are still listed on the West Ward site as a medication they manufacturer. I've heard everything from they are not making either of the brands anymore to there is just a temporary shortage of the brands.

My guess is it's the cost. If you are a chain like CVS, Walmart, Walgreens whoever. If there is a penny difference in cost of a pill and your chain sells a million of them, that's $10,000 more in profit ... They probably just don't care because of the money, but smaller pharmacies that have less than 10-20 stores that don't sell such a high volume, that penny is less important than a satisfied good customer, so they just add the $1.50 to the cost of the 5 a day 30 day script ... So most likely the smaller pharmacy will have the better products... Unfortunately there are no small pharamcies around me...

Pill with imprint 54 411 is White, Round and has been identified as Buprenorphine Hydrochloride (Sublingual) 8 mg. It is supplied by Hikma Pharmaceuticals USA Inc..

This is Nov 20th 2017. I'm trying to find out if the Generic buprenorphine Roxanne,54 411 are still available. or if they discontinued them? I would really appreciate a reply. Thank you.

I have been on buprenorphine for 3 years. Publix recently switched to the brand that has the 460 imprint. I immediately started having upset stomach, withdrawal symptoms after 3-4 hours, no energy and felt terrible. I Live in Palm Beach county Florida. I went to my doctor and explained everything. He gave me a different Pharmacy who carries the Roxane brand. They even delivered the prescribed pills to me. So, Roxane either still makes and distributes them or they just had plenty in stock. The 460 imprinted tablets are horrible. The new Pharmacy is Not a major one, like CVS or Walmart. I pay a little more, $4 each compared to $ 2.75 each, but it's worth the difference.

I am visiting Florida and we are leaving tomorrow morning. My pharmacy has never been out ever but of course they were today. Could you please tell me your pharmacy's name or phone number so I can GPS tomorrow when I get there to fill my script? I have one days worth left and need to find a pharmacy in Florida with a reasonable price.

I have been taking the mylan 924s they help me the best I've seen the orange ones and the ones with the 8 and arrow but didn't know about the 54 411s.Every CVS and Wal-Mart doesn't have any mylans 924s that I like the most but mylan still make Xanax no shortage on those so I do t see them not making the subs.I didn't care for the 54 411 they give me migraines but I dealt with it for a month and switched to the 8s with an arrow.They are what we will be taking until the 924s are back in the pharmacys.I was just wondering why mylan are in backorder on the 924 subs cause that's all that helps me I don't want to relapse or just withdraw I have a life still and things I have to do.I can't do that of I can't get out of bed.

July 24th - that's a couple months away and me and my friend only do good on the mylans. All the others can't compare but different people react differently to meds. We are taking the 8s with an arrow but those are just to get by and now we have to go another month or 2 til the pharmacies might start selling the 924s again. That's crazy.

No they didnt stop making the white round 54 411 subutext bc i had a problem with them bc i was on the white 54 411 subutext pills then they start geven me stupid orange football shaped ones the have a kinda half moon looking symble in the middle and i could only get those for a while i asked the pharmscy y i could get the white ones he said bc my insurance will only cover the orange football szhaped ones bc the white ones are more exspencive and if u by them they were 5$ each since they jumped a whole dollare a pill over night now my insurance covers the white 54 411 ones udk its stupid it could just be bc the insurance will only cover that certain brand or ur pharmacy doesnt wanna pay to get the white ones im with u on the whote ones thier way better idl the orange ones or the tiny round white ones they make i hate those ones bc i bin on them 7 years but the manufacture still makes white 54 411 ones i got them right now

Exactly, we got stuck getting the rps now but they are the better sub out there since mylan went out of stock.

It's just a shortage. I'm in Florida and I can still get the 54 411s so they might have just sold all they have where you are. Ask for the big white pills that have RP on the front. I believe they are from the Rhodes brand. That should help you till mylan starts redistributing the mylan 924s on July 24th.

I'm very happy to hear that. I really pray you get your life back man. These pain pills destroy lifes. And the subs are helping a lot of people finally get off. I hope you get your wife back and finally get off subs as well and be drug free which subs don't have any narcotic in it and you can pass a drug panel taking them so I've heard. 40 yrs+ is a long time to go thru he'll but it's worth getting out of that and at first being normal will seem weird you'll have to adjust being you again. Happy trails man and I hope all goes the way you hope. And I've been doing the Rhodes brand but wonder if the brand you got may be different I haven't heard or seen them so thanks for sharing the knowledge. You're helping people right now just on info.

Try the Rhodes RP on one side and 8 b on the other. They are big and white like the mylan and seem better to me than the Roxanne.

I now am taking the Rhodes brand with RP on one side and 8b on the other. Not that my pharmacy doesn't have the 54 411s or hi techs or orange ones but we felt the hi techs just weren't working out. Until around July 24th when mylan starts filling the pharmacies we will just have to make do.

No, they still make the white 54 411 subutex bc I get them every once in a while. I try asking for them everytime I go to the pharmacy but the pharmacist will tell me they're more expensive. The orange half moon subutex are cheaper so my insurance will only cover them. So I usually get the white ones and I get the 54 411 white ones when they run outa the orange half moons which is once every 3 months, bc I can not stand the small white ones with an arrow on one side and a 8 on the other. It doesn't feel like ur getting ur full 8mg. I dont like the orange half moons either but I can deal with them. If they try to give me the small white ones with the arrow and a 8 ill refuse them and tell them I want a different brand, but they still make the 8mg 54 411. It's just ur pharmacy probably doesn't wanna spend the money to buy that brand. That's probably why they dont have them, but yah the small white arrow and 8 are useless. I hate them and every one I know likes the orange football ones with a half moon or a 153 on other side. Idk why they say they work better but the white ones with 54 411 work the best for me, just like the old subutex that where football shaped and white. They had a slit in the middle. I forget the imprint but I think they were the name brand ones, not generic, bc they quit making them a long time ago. They were white football shaped and had a slit in middle if u wanted to brake them in half. I wish they still made those ones.

Just a head’s up for all you guys saying that the Mylan is coming back this month... they are not. I have spoken to Mylan 4 times in the last four weeks and there is currently no update on when the medication will be back. They are on long term backorder with no date of return. It’s awful, I know! Mylan is definitely my preferred brand! I tried the Rhodes brand and it made me feel extremely depressed, I hated them... I’m trying the Westward ones on Monday, I pray these are better for me.

What subutex says RP 8b? I never heard of them. I know the make with the orange footballs with a half moon on one side and the mylan 54 411 and then they make the tiny round ones which i refuse to take. I hate them but yah idk why ppl are saying the mylan 54 411 are on backorder because i get them every month. I asked for the mylans one time and the pharmacist said my insurance will only cover orange football ones because they're cheaper than the mylans which doesnt make sense bc if u pay outa pocket they use to be 5 dollars and now they're 6. They went up a dollar overnight but when u pay out of pocket for them u can ask for white/orange small ones and they only charge you 6 dollars so it doesn't make any sense when my pharmacist said u get orange ones bc white ones are more expensive.

The RP’s are the Rhodes brand... it’s a fairly newer brand that came out this year. I tried it, wasn’t a fan but I’m used to the Mylan brand (M924 not 54-411, the 54-411 are Roxane brand and those are great I’ve recently found out)

I have been on the Mylan version for several years. All the sudden they try to give me Sun Mfg, and I got real sick. I heard they are an offshore Mfg and have been shut down a couple of times for bad conditions. Then they gave me Hi-Tech and I got really sick last night with stomach cramps, ect... I hope Mylan will be back soon. Only one that has no side effects for me. Someone told me to go to the hospital pharmacy and I may be able to get Mylans.

You gotta try the Roxane/Westward brand. I’ve been taking Mylan for years and they are on long term back order because of issues with their supplier. I tried the Rhodes and they were awful, then I just got the Roxane/Westward brand yesterday and they are AMAZING! Seriously, they’re even better than Mylan.
