What are you doing on Vyvance if you aren't ADHD! These drugs are dangerous when taken wrong and mixing. What is wrong with you people?
I need help, is this ok to mix?
Any amphetamine has a severe drug interaction with celexa.
Do not dose that again, it can be fatal.
To "Chris": Yes this can cause brain damage, from the Vyvanse. Especially at that dosage this is not at all a recommended dosage per the manufacturer, seek medical attention immediately! See my comment to Stephanie.
Hospitals don't care how you got the medication they are not the police so don't be scared in that respect they are there to help you get better and most doctors won't discuss matters with law enforcement, simply because it complicates their job.
In the future, either get a script of a similar medication or the real thing from a doctor... getting through an ADHD test is easy, and don't take so much at once, I'd start most patients at 20-30 mg of Vyvanse personally and then taper it slowly up or down to what dosage they need, too little is way better than too much. If you don't have much money there are many low cost walk in clinics where you can see someone for as little as $40 per session without insurance. And for psychiatric ADHD testing you could try a university or sometimes doctors will just prescribe it with a simple questionnaire. Medication cost wise always get generic medications it's way cheaper: try generic Adderal, generic Dexedrine and others before vyvanse. If cost is an issue.
To "KARLS2020": This may cause issues as in over-focusing and high blood pressure which both suck royally (I know from personal experience as I take Vyvanse and made a bad decision at one point), in reality each person has a different medication threshold, I personally won't jump a patient straight from 40 mg to 80 mg but you should first ask a doctor or increase it slowly by 10 mg over one - two weeks or so and see if you can find a better equilibrium.
To "Me": Seek medical attention if you have overdosed, there are many different ways to correct this, can't state this often enough. You are on a blood pressure medication too, so definitely see a doctor they will most likely give you a benzodiazipine and other medication if you have overdosed! I can't tell you the precise amount that will cause an overdose everyone is different but if you take say 200 mg or even 100 mg of Vyvanse for some people that is enough to do it heck even 70 or less may cause someone to overdose.
On a personal note: Please don't take phentermine with Vyvanse! Some doctor's aren't the smartest, tell whoever prescribed it to you that it is contraindicated with amphetamines specifically. This may be the reason you are taking the blood pressure medication in the first place as the Vyvanse and phentermine together can raise your blood pressure. Phentermine is specifically used for the "short-term" treatment of obesity. Try provigil (aka modafinil) instead (it's generic in the US now) I lost a ton of weight with provigil alone or you can mix it with Vyvanse without raising your blood pressure. It's worth a shot. A cardiologist will definitely tell your doctor who is prescribing Vyvanse mixed with phentermine that it is not a good idea to mix the two period.
To "me": Ask your doctor about Provigil or Nuvigil taken alone or in combination with Vyvanse it works good for MS too, if he or she won't prescribe more Vyvanse. Both Provigil and Nuvigil are wonderful medications for some people and really work well!
Hard as hell to get insurance to approve the two though. and your medication may need adjustment when combining the two.
Doctor's will deny medication changes lots of times for different reasons, this is most likely because Vyvanse is recommend only to be prescribed up to 70 mg for all patients per the manufacturer's drug studies.
Not sure if this post is even a real post by Stephanie. But it you are basically taking the medical version of a street drug known as a "speedball" (an amphetamine mixed with opioid) that could kill you very easily.
In my experience if anyone takes 210 mg of Vyvanse within 12 hours (this amount of medication would almost never be prescribed by a doctor) and you felt your heart was going to jump right out of your skin. You need to call 911 or seek medical attention immediately.
This is highly likely to cause hypertension and / or a myocardial infarction (heart attack) which could result in multiple organ damage, brain damage, seizure and possible death if left untreated. They will (the emergency doctors) usually give you a benzodiazipine and other medications to stabilize your heart-rate foremost.
Not to mention you took 60mg of loritab, wow! You may have overdosed on acetaminophen by doing this, as a general rule overdose may start at around 6,000mg per 24 hours for acetaminophen intake, it depends on the strength of each Loritab pill taken too.
With "quick" and correct medical and medication intervention at a hospital you can easily recover from these overdoses, but you are at a risk of death if you do nothing.
For anyone reading this this is a warning.

overdose of vyvanse treatment request, not sure what amount causes problems, and I'm on lisinopril & have built up a resistance to phentermine
how in the world can you get more than 70mg a day? ny doctoor will not what so ever give me more and i think i need 2 a day i also have ms
what will happen if i take double the amount of vyvanse i am suppose to? I normally take 40 mg so if I take 80 what do you think will happen?
I took 250mg of vyvanse and 10mg of celexa. I've been very tired all day, my legs feel weak., I can't remember anything and I'm experiencing confusion. I don't have a prescription. Can this cause brain damage?
Hi Stephanie - I'm not seeing that Vyvanse has a drug interaction with Lortab, but don't rule that out as a possibility.
I would like to ask if you were taking the Vyvanse as directed in your prescription? If you took 210mg in one day, was it 3 doses of the 70mg?
As to the Lortab, how many tablets did you take over the 12 hours and can you tell me what the amount of Hydrocodone was in each tablet? (Lortab contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone).
Lastly, rapid respiration and cardiac arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat) are symptoms of taking too much Vyvanse so I don't know if you took more that day or if your body just wasn't used to having both meds in your system... ??
Hope this helps and let me know...
I just want to see my reply!
I took 210mg of Vyvanse and took 60mg of loratab all in about 12 hours? I thought my heart was going to jump right out of my skin. I do not have adhd but I am on pain killers for a previous back surgery
