i underwent a cervical discectomy in 2009, and recently i have been suffering from severe pain due to unknown complications of my surgery. the doctor i saw today prescribed me robaxin-500 mg which is a muscle relaxer and dicloxacill 250 mg which is a antibiotic. he said the dicloxacill is a very strong pain killer. i have used it as directed but have had no relief from my stabbing back and neck pain., how is dicloxacill used to treat pain???

No, it's not a pain reliever of any type, it is just an antibiotic of the Penicillin class.
