What is the difference between diclofen pot 50mg tab mylan and diclofenac pot 50mg? I've been taking the latter of these for years however this time the script showed up as the diclofen pot 50mg mylan. Should I be concerned? Should I return it to the pharmacy? ## Hi Ron, Diclofen is actually reported to be a common misspelling or abbreviation of Diclofenac. So there shouldn't be any differences in the "active ingredients". However it is important to note that different brands/manufacturers often use a different set of "inactive" ingredients (known as binders/fillers). These are known to have an impact on the drug's overall bioavailability. Other than that, they appear to be the exact same medication and dosage. I hope this helps!

BACK PAIN ACROS THE BACK NO PAIN WHEN I PICK UP OR WHEN I BEND WALKING IS THE ONLY PROBLEM ## Diclofenac is in a class of medications called NSAIDs; used to relieve pain, tenderness, swelling, and stiffness. can i give my dog which has arthritis diclofenac sodium, dog weighs about 85-95 ponds yes a lil over weight, but we are working on his diet ## @Big Mac, Because each type of dog reacts to medications differently, just as humans do, I think it would ultimately be best to contact your local veterinary office regarding this inquiry. From what I've read myself, I honestly wouldn't recommend it for a dog. If a dog were to ingest a human dose of this medication it could possibly be fatal. Diclofenac can also cause more damage in dogs than in humans with regards to the severity of side effects. I know it must hurt to see your dog in pain, but it sounds like it's definitely worth making sure he gets the right kind of treatment, just to be safe. Hope this helps!

Taken 50mg/day for 2 years with 20mg ameprozol. Last 2 months suffered the faintest tummy ache but it is persistent. Advised to take 40mg Ameprazol by one doctor and to replace with codeine by another. On either paracetamol or codeine after 4 days without diclofenac severe pain and joint stiffness returns. Seems life quality is dependent on Diclofenac so would it be safe to return to using it with the higher ameprozol dose? I've heard of one patient thing 60mg! ## Hello, Guess! How are you? Can my 13 year old (140 lbs. 5'5") take diclofenac Dr 75 mg for back pain due to a pulled muscle? ## Hello, Jessi! How are you? DIclofenac is a prescription medication, so it shouldn't be given, unless the child's doctor has said that it's okay to do so.
