Hi, Jan!
As odd as it may seem, both are actually true.
Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and while these medications do successfully treat headaches in some people, there is also a chance that they could cause headaches in some people as a side effect.
This is actually much more common with medications than one would expect. For instance, antidepressants can cause depression in some people that take them.

Is there anything else I can help with?
Does anyone know where I can find Diclofenac Potassium? Diclofenac Sodium does not work. Live in Arizona and willing to travel to get. It cures headaches for me.
Re: Oshan (# 2)
What form of Diclofenac Sodium are you taking right now? I ask because I found a link from a related thread to an article titled "A prospective, randomised clinical trial comparing oral diclofenac potassium and intramuscular diclofenac sodium in acute pain relief" ... it goes on to say "To compare the efficacy of oral (PO) diclofenac potassium (Cataflam®) and intramuscular (IM) diclofenac sodium (Voltaren®) in acute pain relief ... Both treatment groups showed statistically highly significant reduction (P<0.0001) in pain VAS, systolic blood pressure and pulse rate compared with the baseline. Voltaren® was statistically more effective in pain relief at 30 minutes (P=0.012) and 1 hour (P=0.010) but not at 2 hours (P=0.311) compared with Cataflam®" [1]
So that study was comparing an oral medication to an injection, which might explain why the diclofenac sodium won out in that test.
