Is Therapia Ranbaxy diazepam 10 mg a safe brand? It's a white tablet with a score on one side.

Terapia used to be a very high quality generic of diazepam, that was made since WWII until the end of year 2006, by a private family owned business in either one of these countries, Hungary or Romania. Not sure which. Ranbaxy, a huge international pharmaceutical corporation, with world headquarters in INDIA, bought out 97% of the stock of Terapia, although, Terapia's name is still being marketed, for the "goodwill" purposes, based on their excellent reputation for relatively high quality, with a very low price point for those in Eastern Europe. (former Iron Curtain countries) of post WWII.

I have had the opportunity, or for lack of a better word, the misfortune, of receiving, on 3 occasions, in the past 10 years, like in 2009, 2011, and, around 2013, and, I was disappointed in what I received. The first two times, the pills were especially, very white brick hard, even a challenge to break with a USA pill cutter, purchased @ Walgreen's or Rite Aid Pharmacy stores OTC (the pill cutter only). The effects I experienced?

There appeared to be something in them that made me drowsy, yes, but, the traditional warm, feeling, I get from past years, of occasional bona fide USA prescriptions for long running USA made Roche Labs Valium 10 mg, made either in Nutley New Jersey, USA or in the Roche plant in Manati, Puerto Rico, or, even, from the Roche plant, via always a bona fide Latino M.D prescribing me, real deal Roche Valium mfg from the Roche plant in Toluca, Mexico, from either a M.D from Puerto Vallarta, MEX or Cabo San Lucas, (Los Cabos, MEX) were the real deals (just like former USA pre 1983 Roche Valiums solid blue 10 mg all the way through, or post 1983 Roche USA Valium with the V-cut out Mona Lisa style fancy artwork and the huge price increase sometime after 1995 to 2008, from AWP of $1.00 each per 10 mg tab to AWP of nearly US $5.00 per tablet, by the year 2009, by prescription at any pharmacy in the USA if you could locate a pharmacy who still stocked Roche Valium. Source of Average Wholesale Price is REDBOOK pharmacys fundamental reference 113th and 114th year of publication, (2009/2010) and PDR Generics, 1st edition, for year 1995, published by PDR for USA products, with many details of monologs of thousands of ethical pharmaceuticals and Orange Book ratings by USA FDA.

The real deal Mexican Roche Valium must have a hologram on each blister pack, 10 pills per blister, usually sold in a box of 90 x 10 blisters, only with a Latin Prescription, and, with very wide Roche clear tape also with difficult to impossible holograms on the wrapping tape also embossed as Roche, Roche, Roche. Data as recent as the year 2014 in Mexico, USA, Roche Valium, my last prescription written by my dentist was in May of 2009, the 5 mg were stronger than any 10 mg Diazepam I have ever received elsewhere.

In summary, I did not have a GC/MS costly evaluation run on the Terapia Diazepam 10 mg white un-embossed tabs, but, I did not feel like they had a full 10 mg of Diazepam in them or, if that, they had something in them that was a minor tranquilizer, but, I had to take two tabs for effectiveness, instead of one 10 mg Terapia at a time, per every 4 to 6 hours for anti anxiety effectiveness. The last and final time, I received 100 x 10 mg of alleged Terapia/Ranbaxy Diazepam, they were now very thin white pills, and were not hard as concrete, but, were brittle, and, the effects were nil, I ended up throwing them away, at least 50 or 60 pills, in the trash can.

Ranbaxy just google up their reputation in the USA, where Ranbaxy now has two (2) manufacturing plants, inside the USA. Ranbaxy has had problems with the FDA for Food and Drug Administration, for a full past decade over quality control issues, I have experienced, bad side effects from another generic Ranbaxy product, obtained by a American Medical Association bona fide USA Psychiatrist and a local well known independent pharmacy within the USA, and the Ranbaxy generic Adderall, I was accustomed to brand name either by Richwood Pharma, or later, by ShireUS Pharma, of brand Adderall instant release, and, I got, headaches, stomach aches, and, other side effects, that my body could not adjust to. I never completed my bottle of pills of 60 x 20 mg of generic Adderall marketed by Core Pharma, thru a joing venture with Ranbaxy, my USA prescription bottle said mfg was Ranbaxy of USA. (again in year 2009).

Teva and Ranbaxy I steer clear of from everything from Clonazepam to Diazepam to Adderall generics due to weakness in quality, or nasty side effects.

I have no recent experience with Terapia, of Eastern Europe. Some companies will do an evaluation on a sample of pills mailed to them for a high price of USD per sample of contents of the alleged substance; via GC/MS. It is expensive, and I have trust issues, but, there is a wealth of info online available for free by searching.
