My food lover husband met High blood sugar just 1 month back. What diet should I give to him ? ## do you mean he is diabetic or has just had one episode of high blood sugar? What has his doctor advised? Have they put him on any medications? With high blood sugar, it is very important to eat a healthy, low-fat diet, without a ton of sweets. The main issue, however, is that all food is converted into sugars in the body for fuel, so too much of anything can raise the blood sugar, even if it is healthy. That is why medication is necessary and healthy foods. Fruit has a lot of natural sugars in it, so it is the best choice when he wants something sweet, but he still has to limit how much of it he eats. by Teva, white oval pill, blank on one side and 142 printed on the other. Looks different than my previous pills, just want to double check. ## this was my post, found out that the pharmacy had the wrong manufacturer on the label. Mystery solved. This isn't my first bad experience with a drug manufactured by Teva. Not only is my Teva Metformin ineffective, but I had the same identical problem with Teva's generic for Protonix (it was like taking a placebo and I located many similar complaints in an online forum). My doctor finally prescribed a name-brand and my symptoms disappeared and my sugar levels are near normal once again. I always ask before picking up new prescriptions now; I will NOT accept any pills by Teva Pharmaceuticals of Israel -- I think they should be investigated and the pills tested by the FDA. ## teva metformin and metformin ER do not work right. Ineffective. Other standard metformin always turns off crct2 switch in liver making good numbers. ( 500mg) an dblocks liver leaking glucose. 500mg Teva and ER...

My husband tool actos and has bladder cancer. The FDA is investigatng the link. He now has a new medicine. Is anyone else involved in this mess? ## There is some preliminary evidence reported as linking this medication to bladder cancer, though more confirmation is needed to prove it, which is why the FDA is investigating. How long was your husband on it? ## He was on it for four years before he developed bladder cancer. I know there is no validation yet, but it is an interesting concept. Avandia is another drug in the same family. We may never know if the drug caused the bladder cancer. He insisted that his doctor take him off the drug, and he is on metformin.

I have been using Vit. B-12 since my step father passed away 2yrs ago. He had several cases of it left. I asked my family Dr if it would be OK to use, any other Dr. would have wanted to wrtie a prescription, but this is a family Dr I've been using for yrs. Anyway I only had insulin syringes I CC 29 gauge by 1/2 length. Admittidly the bigger and longer needles are better to use for B-12 as it doesn't seem to leave a knot or get hard in the area of use. The jest is the insulin needle I was using broke off and is still in my very lower back area off to the left side. A little below that the tissue 1/2 deep is somewhat hard and difficult pushing the B-12 in. Therefore, I always try to find an area that has not been used or not used in a while to make the B-12 easier to push in. I ha...
