Will this eliminate the facial hair and should I be worried about losing my hair on my head? I am also worried about the side effects of diarrhea as the metformin already upsets my stomach. ## Spironolactone is a potassium sparing diuretic, and an aldosterone agonist, so it is used to help remove fluid from the body, to treat conditions such as congestive heart failure, high blood pressure, edema, and yes, it can also help with excess facial hair, or hirsutism. No, it should not cause hair loss on your head. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, headache, increased urination, ...
I am a diabetic patient taking Glycomat trio 2 mg morning and evening before meals, i would like to know any supplement need to take with this to avoid side effect. Please advice. Kumar ## Hi, Kumar! There's really nothing that's going to prevent all the possible side effects. You may not experience any of them, or you may experience them all, there's no way to know. Additionally, some supplements may interact with the medication, or could be substances you shouldn't take with your medical condition. What types of side effects have you been experiencing? ## My mother's doctor prescribed her the following medication to use (Glycomet trio 3): Metformin - 500 mg Voglibose - 0.3 mg Glimipride - 2 mg Is this combination of medication safe for her?
I'm unable to digest Glimy m2... It is coming out along with stool as it is. Has this happened to anyone else? ## What if a non-diabetic 22 year old girl takes Glimy M2? Is this dangerous? My friend consumed 2 tabs now, mistaking it as another one.

I just recently started on Jardiance to assist in stabilizing blood sugar. I have Type 2 diabetes and struggle in keeping my A1C within normal range. This drug was added to help reduce sugar and possible weight loss. I am wondering what type of weight loss people are experiencing and what side effects if any. I am only on this med 5 days so far but urinating frequently, does it slow down after some time? That's what my doc said. Thanks. ## Hi Sue, I have not tried the medication known as Jardiance (empagliflozin) for stabilizing blood sugar levels, but did want to share a brief general list of side effects I came across, courtesy of the FDA [1]: - Hypotension (low blood pressure) - Impaired Renal Function - Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) - Genital Mycotic Infections - Urinary Tract ...

I have diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis. I also have bursitis in my hips. Which is better to control the pain and which has less side effects - (Epleptin 300mg three times a day or Neurontin 300 mg)? ## All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, and there is no way to say which one will be the best to help any given person, since we are all different. However, regarding these two medications, both of them contain the same active ingredient, which is Gabapentin, so there is really no difference between them. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, headache, dry mouth, dizziness, mood changes, and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?
I took a Metformin ER 500mg today for the first time but I cut it in half because I didn't know that I wasn't supposed to. I took the first half and then saw that I was supposed to take it whole so I took the other half. I'm just wondering if I'm in any danger? ## Since it is time released tablet, you could get too much of the medication at once, so you will need to watch for the signs of low blood sugar, which could include: dizziness, drowsiness, tremors and fainting. You may want to make sure you have something sweet on hand that can bring it up, fast, such as a small glass or orange juice and then, when feeling better, a sandwich or something to help keep it up longer. Are there any other questions? ## how long / how many hours does metformin ER act? ## AJJAx, they s...
