Spironolactone - A tablet for congestive heart failure ## I have PCOS and I am taking metformin for it but my physician gave me a prescription for Spironolactone for the facial hair. Will this eliminate the facial hair and should I be worried about losing my hair on my head? I just recently started on Jardiance to assist in stabilizing blood sugar. I have Type 2 diabetes and struggle in keeping my A1C within normal range. This drug was added to help reduce sugar and possible weight loss. I am wondering what type of weight loss people are experiencing and what side effects if any. I am only on this med 5 days so far but urinating frequently, does it slow down after some time? That's what my doc said. I have diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis. I also have bursitis in my hips. Which is better to control the pain and which has less side effects - (Epleptin 300mg three times a day or Neurontin 300 mg)? ## All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, and there is no way to say which one will be the best to help any given person, since we are all different. However, regarding these two medications, both of them contain the same active ingredient, which is Gabapentin, so there is really no difference between them. I took a Metformin ER 500mg today for the first time but I cut it in half because I didn't know that I wasn't supposed to. I took the first half and then saw that I was supposed to take it whole so I took the other half. I'm just wondering if I'm in any danger? ## Since it is time released tablet, you could get too much of the medication at once, so you will need to watch for the signs of low blood sugar, which could include: dizziness, drowsiness, tremors and fainting. You may want to make sure you have something sweet on hand that can bring it up, fast, such as a small glass or orange juice and then, when feeling better, a sandwich or something to help keep it up longer. I had successfully taken Jardiance for four years and then developed an inflamed bladder from it. I have been off the drug nearly 10 days now and the symptoms have mostly gone away but not completely. My doctor does believe they will go away and I will not take that drug again. I had no UTI, no yeast infection and no other kind of infection. Unfortunately the next step is probably insulin. I am 19 years old. I have been taking FORMITOL (contains metformin) since my doctor told me that I have PCOS. I have been on Jardiance for over two weeks now. I have experienced dizziness, nausea, headaches, and shakiness and some diarrhea. Are these common side effects? I called my doctor today and she wants me to continue for a few more weeks. Do these side effects subside? How long does it take? I take no other medication for diabetes.
