been on dextro for 3 years. in addition I am taking paxil, clonazepam, & trazodone. I still feel extremely tired and listless. i wish I could be taken off this stuff. I am very familiar with detox; I used to run a social detox center. I am definitely scared of the detox process. I am a Veteran and they will not allow inpatient detox. My spouse takes 10 mg twice daily of d-amphetamine salt combo and I take 30 mg Dextroamphetamine twice daily. I've taken adderall 10mg for several years without any problems. Recently switched to a generic manufactured by Mackrodt Spec called "dextroamphetamine " . I have yet to take a form of this medication in any brand since the 5 mg Dexedrine that is even and consistent and has the least amount of side effects to date. I take 15 mg 4 times/day. My plan approves it currently but I will appeal it until the cows come home because minus appetite loss, which is even less than the other forms for me, this dose taken this way has been a blessing. However, it is difficult to find. Out of everywhere I called, only Costco had it available from one of their backup suppliers and it had to be ordered but honestly, if you can get insurance to cover it, or get the coupon and get one of the doses out of the 5 mg or 10 mg even from this company, go for it. I took the Wilshire as well as Zenzedi in the 10 mg form and it had more side effects. I just had to note...

From an outside perspective, I think your best bet would be to contact the manufacturer in order to see which pharmacies carry their dexedrine. I get the feeling that they would know who the biggest buyers of their products are and when they intend to ship out more of a particular medication to a said pharmacy. Two pharmacies in town and same price but different brands...??? ## The truth is that each individual may react or respond differently to each and every brand/generic out there. One of the reasons is because there are different binders and fillers. The other is likely due to differences within our own body chemistry, metabolism, age, weight, and a number of other personal factors. That said, finding the appropriate manufacturer may just be a game of trial and error, because even if one person responds favorably to Mallinckrodt (for example), you may respond more favorably to Wilshire. I cannot find the brand dexidrene at any pharmacy. the generic dextroamphetamine, does not work the same for me. must have diff inactive ingredients. I have taken 145 mg total of dextroamphetamine in the past two days. I have a four panel drug test coming up, and one of the drugs it tests for is methamphetamine. Will my test show up positive for methamphetamine, because dexedrine is an amphetamine? They specifically test for methamphetamine, not all amphetamines. If it will show up, how long should 145 mg be in my system (i'm 160 lbs with a fast metabolism)? What is the most effective way to flush my system?

I have been taking dextroamphetamine for several years .in dec 2011 I could not find any, I was told they were back ordered and that the drug and food agency had a limitation on how much could be sent to each state. now in 2013 they are back and the price has sky rocketed i think they created the shortage so they could raise the price ## You are entitled to your opinion, but such conspiracy theories usually have little merit and are rarely born out by research and time. There are limits on how much a pharmacy can order and stock in any given month of all controlled substances, it's not a limit placed on states, but on each pharmacy according to the size of their normal customer base.
