Deramaxx And Veterinary Pain

Our English Bulldog needs a pain medication for very severe tooth and gum infections. He is 10 years old & he cannot have the anesthetic needed for surgery to remove his teeth. We are just trying to keep him comfortable and were wondering if this would help with his pain? If you have a better solution, we would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you!!!

Deramaxx contains the active ingredient Deracoxib, it is an anti-inflammatory that is often used to treat pain in dogs, such as that associated with osteoarthritis, and some types of surgery.

The FDA lists the possible side effects for dogs as being similar to those in humans who taken anti-inflammatories, so they may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, and increased risk of bleeding.

Has the vet prescribed this for your pup?

Why can't he have the anesthetic?
