Deplatt A 75 And Pantodac 40mg
UpdatedFor the last 12 years I have been taking Deplatt A 75 & Pantodac 40mg as a precautionary measure. I never had any heart disease. During this period I was posted in different parts of the country. The first doctor prescribed for Aspicot 20 with some antacid about 15 years back. After that the doctor changed it to an Aspirin & antacid combination although there were no findings of heart disease. Now I am 65 and also taking blood pressure tablets (FBX 40 and Lipiking 10). My lipid profile was above the normal limit about 5 yrs back and now it is well within normal range. Should I continue all these medicines? I may provide other information, if asked for.

While I'm unable to replace the personalized advice from a licensed healthcare professional, I can tell you that decisions about whether to continue, adjust, or stop medication should always be made in consultation with your healthcare provider.
Your medications — Deplatt A 75, which contains the antiplatelet drug Clopidogrel + Aspirin, and Pantodac 40mg (Pantoprazole), an antacid —are usually given for heart disease or for those at risk of heart disease, as well as gastrointestinal issues. FBX 40 and Lipiking 10 are typically prescribed for controlling high blood pressure and managing high cholesterol, respectively.
Despite your lipid profile being normal now, your doctor may want you to continue these medications as a part of a preventive strategy, especially considering your age. It's also possible that stopping them might increase your risk of cardiovascular events.
That said, continuing regular check-ups with your healthcare provider is most important if you have any doubts about certain medications. They're the ones best equipped to understand your medical history and cardiovascular risk and provide the most suitable advice in accordance with that knowledge.
I hope this helps!
