My mother has been on depakote 500mg tablet (1 every night) and quitipin 50mg ( 1 every nght) for 2 years now. She is constantly worried though not panicked. She talks to her self sometimes more than other times and hears voices constantly. Most of the time she is upset with the voices and other times she is peaceful with them. What are these medications for and how do they work in tandem with each other. Also any idea what it is my mother is suffering from, cause no one tells me. They just say she has a chemical imbalance and nothing more. Schezophrenia is taboo in India so no one tells me whats going on with her. Is it safe to take these 4 meds together? Depakote ER, two 500mg twice daily Effexor XR, one 75mg one in morn Doxepin Cap, one 25mg at bedtime Temazepam Cap, three 15mg at bed time My son is 26 yrs old and 160lbs, he is feeling lethargic, throws up occasionally, and has upset stomach most of the time. ## Why is he on such a high dose of the Temazepam? Usually, the maximum daily dosage of it is 30mgs and it's split into divided doses throughout the day. And yes, as to all of them, there can be additive effects to using them together, so that could explain his elthargy and nausea. Has he contacted his doctor? He may require some dosage adjustments.

I was wondering if anyone taking this medication has suffered any memory loss? ## Yes! I suffer from severe memory loss. I have forgotten almost everything from my whole life, including my son's childhood. I can watch a movie, and then forget it after about a week, and enjoy watching it all over again lilke it was new. Ha! It's really not funny. I just haver to learn to live with it. Also, I have absence seizures. The Depacote helps, but not 100%. ## Depakote can cause some severe side effects. ## I recently went off Depakote due to the cost and lack of insurance. Does it have the numbers 93(seperated with a black line)and then numbers 7441? If so, then this is 500 mg. Depakote. ## What this person is asking about is a multi-vitamin/mineral supplement called CertaVite with Lutein. It is listed as containing: Vitamins A, C, D, K, B6, B12, B1 and Riboflavin, Niacin, Folic Acid, Lutein, Biotin, Calcium and Pantothenic Acid. pink transparent capsule (1 cm long) filled with white powder. on the capsule is marked in black 21(in one side(head)) and a capital A(in the other side of the capsule) looking alike(the small line in the middle of A is round like) ## Found a white, oblong pill marked AP0047 on one side and 250 on the other side. I'm used to my son taking 500mg of depakote, a large, grey, oval pill. Now he's taking a larger white oval pill with M 473 on one side. What is that? ## I located a match for M 473 white oval pill it's Divalproex sodium ER 500 mg, which is used to help with certain seizures as well as epilepsy. looking for identification of white oblong pill with M 473 imprinted on one side and nothing on other ## From my records I believe M 473 is Depakote ER, which is used for the treatment of the manic episodes of bipolar disorder, and increasingly taken long-term for prevention of both manic and depressive phases of bipolar disorder, especially the rapid-cycling variant. There are two pills, and I think they are antibiotics? but could be mood pills. 1) Oblong, powder pink colour--it is NOT a capsule; 3/4 long, about 1/4fat (deep), and just over 1/4 wide. One side says largely: APO and the other says 500 . There is also a raised band, same colour and everything as the rest, going lengthwise all the way around right in the middle of the side. 2) This might be the same drug, smaller dose: Same shape, same band around the middle sides, but 1/2 long, 1/4 wide, and below 1/4 fat. It's bright red, the same colour of the ok and submit buttons on this site. Apo on one side, 125 on the other. My husband just started on Depakote they upped him to 2000mg a day all in one dosage at bed time. He is having many problems with siezures wanting to start. He sees the light effect,feels dizzy, and is having headaches along with some vision problems. Is this normal when starting on Depakote. He has had his blood tested and they upped it to 2000 mg. recently.He had three episodes today. What do we do? ## Here's the monograph with more information: It sounds like he may be suffering from both normal and unusual side effects, he really needs to talk to his doctor and explain them all, they may need to lower his dosage or try a different medication.

oval white ## Is this your pill? Pill Image You didn't say if there was a logo on it, or not, along with the letters. If this is the correct pill, this is Depakote Extended Release (Valproic Acid) 250mgs, a very potent antipsychotic medication.

It is typically used for seizure disorders though has been used for behavior problems, some anti-psychotic issues, and anxiety issues. Side effects include severe drowsiness, dizziness, heaadache, stomach cramping. ## Nothing to play with if it isn't prescribed for you, this is a very potent drug, and its usage must be very closely monitored by a doctor. They have to maintain it in a very delicate balance that requires regular urine or blood testing to make sure there isn't too much or too little, and if you do not suffer a condition requiring this med, you will create serious trouble for yourself if you take it.
