Dallas Doctor To Prescribe Xanax

I've been dealing with severe anxiety and can't function on my daily activities. Feeling really nervous and scared for no reason and sometimes I feel shortness of breath. What's really bad is I can't sleep well at night, so I'm looking for a doctor to prescribe something to treat my anxiety and help me relax. I'm located near Dallas, TX.

Eddy is correct. Your best bet is to see a new doctor, but not ask for any specific medications, because they might view that as being drug seeking.

Xanax is a controlled substance that carries the risk of being habit forming, it may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and irritability.

There are also other medications that can help with anxiety, that aren't in this medication class, and are not habit forming. I've had good luck with Fluoxetine, which is a generic form of Prozac.

Have you tried any other medications?

I can't speak to a Doctor for you or tell you they would prescribe anything. You have to present yourself in person and establish a Doctor Patient relationship. If things get really bad try the ER
