Just to clarify, I don't take, nor have I ever taken Dronedarone, but I can provide you with information on it.

First, all medications carry risks, this is just the nature of putting such chemicals into your body. However, letting serious medical conditions go uncontrolled is usually far more dangerous than any risks from the medications used to treat them.

Dronedarone is mainly used to treat irregular heartbeat.

As to the heart failure, the information on that is focused on people that have already suffered from it and advises that they not be given this medication, because it increases mortality rate.

As to liver issues, like most other drugs, this one is also extensively metabolized by the liver, so yes, there is always a risk. But, like I mentioned this is true of most medications, not just this one. There are very few that don't have any effect on the liver and have no risk to it involved.
