MY DOCTOR SUDDENLY PASSED AWAY DUE TO HEART ATTACK IM TRYING TO FIND A DOCTOR WHO WILL PRESCIBE THIS FOR ME.I LIVE IN MURFREESBORO TN I HAVE BEEN ON THIS MED 5YEARS.I AM BACK IN COLLEGE AND REALLY NEED THIS MED TO KEEP ME FOCUSED THANKS TO ANYONE WHO MIGHT COULD HELP ME WITH THIS.

Minor correction. Dextroamphetamine only comes in 5 and 10mg tabs.
Adderall (dextroamphetamine salt combo) comes in 30 mg tabs consisting of 15mg of dextroamphetamine and 15mg of salts of dextro. Basically right and left handed rotations of the molecule each with it's own physio/psycological effects.
Good luck in your search, between Obama care, the DEA, the new allotment system and being a new patient, tred lightly. I'm fortunate, my Dr. is 20 years younger than me. I have been taking dextro for 20+ years, I fear the day the DEA wins.

Well, part of the problem could be occurring if you're calling new doctors and asking them up front to prescribe this medication. Doctors and their staff are taught to view that as drug seeking behavior.

Thus, what you really need to do is set up an appointment with a new doctor, without asking for a medication like this ahead of time. Once you go to the appointment, then you can discuss your treatment options.

This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and insomnia.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?

I have had that happen before. I ask for the highest dosage I can get because I have extra ones for that exact reason.
