Have no insurance. Where can I fill my Suboxone prescription cheap? Paying 320 dollars for a 30 day supply - 8mg
Look Obama care is no where near free for myself and most people. ..maybe you're thinking of Medicaid, which a lot of people don't qualify for as well.
get on Oboma Care. They're free
I was an avid supporter of Obama and now I feel like I was a sucker. The only change I've noticed is my spouse's work insurance go from free to five dollars a week to 300 a month! Now laid off he HAS to still pay the 300+, how the heck is this BETTER THEN BEFORE? !
My Obama care payout is ridiculously high and considering my physician for subs DOESN'T accept any insurance I would be paying 250 a month, and more for my insurance coverage to cover my script then what I pay out of pocket now!
Get on Obama care and the generic bupenorphrine is free..60-90 8 mg tabs FREE! Just sign up through your states website
Good post Hikmer!
Another FYI, sub docs are only allowed a hundred patient max which made it tricky to find an opening. And understanding where the last rant is coming from that you could afford dope but want to cry about the costs, I'm sorry but when the choice came for me to ease my withdrawal NOW or wait until two weeks to pay for my first sub appt, which one do you think I choose???
I've come across anywhere from 800 a visit to free if you stay clean, absolutely no relapse tolerated for THREE MONTHS, which if you can do that you don't even need subs.
At least the initial appt needs to be much cheaper, that would make it more realistic. If my grandparents hadn't paid for the first one, I would have never been able to afford it. In the beginning I was paying close to 700 a month for script and appts, sorry to burst another bubble but after spending the equivalent of several upscale homes in several years on dope, I didn't, and still don't, live comfortably. It's usually a toss up with paying my doc appt and meds or buying food, which after this long I usually opt with living off ramen noodles for awhile. I understand your frustration, and you may have somehow maintained financial stability while using, but the majority of us didn't so don't be so harsh please.
Hey not to burst your bubble, but getting your hands on the illegal drugs is much easier than the ones to get you off them. I am disgraced and disgusted that Suboxone costs anyone this much $$$. I can understand a small fee but the insurance companies gladly pay of the opiate drugs which get you addicted but won't pay for the drugs to help stop the addiction? Then the healthcare laws make it nearly impossible for me to help get these drugs for my girlfriend in the first place. HIPA/FDA/DOA are always excuses from the doctors offices when I try to call to get her this medication to get off H! Then they apologize when I tell them it's easier to score black than get this medication.
Anyway, Walgreens sold it for about $230 for a 30 day (30 films) 8mg with the discount card its about $6 a day. And for the love of gawd, if you post...please give pharmacy name, prescription levels, qty and costs to help others find the best place to go quick....so much unnecessary chatter and misinformation on this subject...
I don't understand some of you no offense but your talking about how you can't afford the suboxone this is truly a shock to me I've been on suboxone 2 years 2months probably way to long but I'm down to 3/4 of a strip per day doctor visit of $300.00 a month and the strips run me $7.50 a piece I only get 21 to 23 a month use to get 90 a month and $400.00 a month dr visit I'm still affording it and I don't understand why others can't you say it's to expensive bull crap you were able to fund your addiction so suck it up and find a way to make it work and quite looking for excuses it's a good drug and will work for you better than paying $40.00'bucks for a oxy-30mg or an 80 mg ghost there's $80.00to $90.00 dollars gone for about 4to5hours of relief at least that was my experience trust me your treatment should be first find a way to make it work and may god bless you I was an addict 20+years it's worth every penny to get clean and stay that way god bless whoever needed to here this
Exactly my point..
If you can afford H, you can afford suboxen
The majority of suboxone physicians are not approved or covered by insurance. Therefore out of pocket. Out of almost fifty I found one that accepted insurance within a 50 mile radius.
It's a considerable amount monthly but if you're prescribed it for addiction I doubt it even comes close to what you spent on h/pills...I know it does mine.
I have Anthem insurance and I pay 20$ copay for Dr visit once a month and my prescription is only 30$ for a 30day supply, you need a good job with good insurance or a husband with the same.
Where do you live?
Know of some LI Drs
She stated it has helped her before, which isn't uncommon for patients with little opiate pain relief experience.
It's not uncommon for physicians, unless in a pain management clinic, to only be allowed to prescribe narcotic pain relief meds for an initial temporary treatment. It's passed as state law in some states, and becoming more common every day as the opiate epidemic makes it's presence known. What she's experiencing is not as easy as just calling another physician and telling him what she wants or needs.
If the Suboxone works for her hopefully she can find a doctor authorized to use it as a pain relief tx.
Shirley I'm not sure what you mean by Old Lou, if you provide the basic area of your residence I can try and help find you an appropriate physician to get the help you need.
Go to another dr . Why would u stay with a dr. That isn't paying attn I your needs. The only time I hear did a dr. Not giving narcs is if I have a history of addiction . Your case is is severe I dolt think any dr. Would deny you . If he is then u better go lol for another dr . And explain wat u been going through . Suboxone doesn't work that great for pain . No way it case pain in me and has for the past 7 years but I'm a addict so I need something to
Stop the opiate craving .
Shirley if you're not familiar with using Google give me your roundabout location, city is fine, and I will look them up for you.
Also you may have to be treated at an addiction facility, most suboxone clinics aren't authorized to dispense it for pain purposes.
And lastly do you have insurance coverage or are you paying cash? Just helps to narrow out the results.
Please I need help. Im in so much pain from my deterarated disc diease.my dr.will not give no narcotics.its one of those health clinics, I got a clot on my disc.and I have to goto a surgeon soon.i have tried the suboxen from a friend and I like it.i need name of a dr in the old lou, area.i dont have no insurance.im going to a pain mangament but all they do is those shots.no narcotics. I need help please.im 62 yrs old and im tired of PAIN
Shirley in most states it's now law that doctors cannot prescribe narcotic pain killers unless they're an actual pain management clinic. That's probably the reason why, it's not that they WON'T prescribe it, it's most likely because they can't.
You may benefit from a Suboxone switch for pain treatment if you don't already have a high opiate tolerance.
To find a Suboxone approved physician in your area, just Google for them in your area. If you don't have insurance you'll have to psy cash for your appointment and your prescription so you may want to call around and compare office visit costs.
If you need any help let us know!
