Help please.My husband has diabetes(completely under control) and kidney stones which are trying to get resolved with a urologist. He is very constipated and only has BMs which look like very hard round golf balls. His doc said miralax...he takes it for 7 days and then uses ducolax suppositories. He is very uncomfortable ...alternately sweats and chills. Is an enema called for here. I am at my wits end trying to help him.LXOF

I take 40 mg of Lasix a day and it makes me constpated. I am now using a stool softening product and have 4 oz of prune juice daily. If this does not help I take a xLax several times a week

What medications is he taking? One, or more, of them could be contributing to the problem.
Does he watch his fluid intake? How much fiber does he take in? A lack of either of these, or both, could be contributing to the problem.

Thanks for answering. He took Miralx for 7 days and switched to then ducolax suppositories for three days ...he stopped that after because he had normal bms. And yes he was in constant touch with his doctor, Thanks again.
