I have sciatic nerve issues that literally shoot from my hip/back down to my foot. My Dr will only give me an anti-inflammatory with tramadol which does nothing. I need to find a doctor that will give me some relief with pain meds.

I'm very sorry that you're in pain.
What type of doctor have you been seeing? Due to the new directives set forth by the DEA last year, most general practitioners are very reluctant to prescribe controlled substances, anymore. Thus, you'll likely need to see a pain management specialist.
Tramadol, however, is classified by the FDA as an opioid now, so it does carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation.
Is there a chance your current doctor could refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need.
Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?
