Cloraz Dipot Side Effects

Is this drug addictive? After 20 years of suffering anxiety and depression and taking several different meds for my symptoms, I have found no relief. My psychiatrist gave me a prescription for Cloraz depot but told me it could be addictive and I am wary of such drugs. I started just this week to take the cloraz depot every night (3.75 mg) and I feel great,relaxed;, clear headed and able to concentrate on my reading and other projects. Will this last?

Hello,

Based on my research, Clorazepate (Dipotassium) is in the class of medications called Benzodiazepines. Benzodiazepines do have a history of being addictive, so I would definitely take that into account.

In time you might build up a tolerance to this medication and will need to up your dosage to experience the same effects.
