Can you go through withdrawals from clonidine 0.1 twice daily only if used for 5 days? I have been on Methadone and Opana for a number of years now. I made the decision to get off the Meds and battle the withdrawals. ER Doctor gave me clonidine the help with symptoms have been on them for 5 days and ready to get off it. Any answers on timeframe or relevant info greatly appreciated. Main question is. "Is five days of clonidine 2x daily enough to experience withdrawal symptoms after done taking?" ## Hello, Louis! I have a drug test tomorrow and need to know if clonidine and clonazepam will test positive as the same in my system? Please help ## No deinitely not. Those two drugs are two completely diifferent ones. One is narcotic one is not. They arent used for even close to the same thing. Clonodine is typically used to treat high blood pressure, it is also used to helppatients going through opiate withdrawal. Clonazepam is used to treat sever panic disorders/attacks, and epilepsy to name a few. It is also considered a narcotic whilst clonidine woulnt even show up if your having a drug test. I hope this helps.
I went to the doctor for an unrelated issue. BP was high 200/95. Might be situational but she had me start a regime of .1mg of Clonidine 2 times per day. Took the first one at 7pm. BP was normal at 6 am. Can it work that fast or was my high BP situational? ## Hello, Scoop! How are you? Clonidine is known to work well and fast, but it wouldn't take it down to normal that fast, so it could be that your elevated blood pressure was situational. However, regardless of that, you do need to take something to prevent it going that high in the future, because that's a very dangerous level to hit that creates the risk of heart attack or stroke, unless your doctor okays your stopping it. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Clonidine as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth ...

I am just having a hard time proving it. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated! ## r u sure clonidine? That's a blood pressure med

Do you think these are safe and effective? ## Unfortunately, since they are from India, I can't verify any information for you from the markings on them. There is no database of markings to refer to that would enable me to do so. However, I can tell that in the CIMS India database, Liofen is listed as containing the active ingredient Baclofen, which is a muscle relaxant. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and drowsiness. Learn more Liofen details here. I also can't comment on their safety and efficacy, since I have no information on their validity, efficacy testin...

interaction between clonidine and seroquel cause false positive for amphetamines? ## Hi Jon, While I didn't find any specific details regarding Clonidine's false positives, I can verify that Seroquel (on its own) is known to cause false positives for amphetamines. Referenced from: askdocweb.com/falsepositives.html Many of these cheaper drug tests have a 40-50% chance of being completely accurate with the drug(s) in question. False positives are just another way of saying they made a mistake, but rather to put the blame on you as opposed to them. I hope you are able to get this situation sorted out. ## I just I just had A drug test that showed I tested positive for amphetamines. I take seroquel and colonodine and the to will show up as A false positive. So please post this to you...

SOMETIMES AT NIGHT MY PRESSURE WILL SKYROCKET TO ABOUT 235/105. I DOUBLE DOSE MY MEDS BUT IT STILL TAKES AROUND 3-4 HOURS TO GET IT DOWN; NOT LOW BUT LIVABLE. I TAKE CLONIDINE .02 LOSARTAN 100 MG AND SOMETIMES AMLODIPINE 5 MG. ## Actually, the only thing bringing it down after 3 to 4 hours is time, not the medications. These medications don't work like that to bring it down that fast, they take time to work, which requires consistent dosing for 4 to 6 weeks to have an effect, occasionally doubling up, just when it spikes does nothing. Have you consulted your doctor about the spikes? What are you doing that may make it elevate like that? You most likely need a med adjustment in the evening, which will probably be a higher dosage of one of them. One that you could ask your doctor abou...
