Clonidine And Heart Palpitations

I have been having heart palpitations on an off since I started cloindine 1 mg. Should I quit?

How long have you been taking it and how long do the palpitations last?

The FDA does list palpitations as being a possible side effect of this medication and they may continue for 4 to 6 weeks, while your body is adjusting to the medication.

In most case, palpitations are harmless, unless they are accompanied by other symptoms, such as dizziness and chest pain, according to the NIH, or if they last for very long periods of time.... but, it never hurts to have your doctor check things out to be sure.
