Clonazepam Ingredients Mylan Brand Vs Teva Vs Accord (Page 3)
UpdatedPlease help with this, i have taken the mylan brand for several years, when the pharmacy could no longer order it they ordered Teva, it immediately gave me pains that seemed to be in my chest....kind of the opposite of what it's supposed to do. So with Mylan being available though only two pharmacies, someone mentioned accord...but what is the difference of fillers. could you simply list all the ingredients for all three brands so if Accord matches Mylan i'm ok?
Re: Mylan Bestie (# 40)
I agree. I have taken Mylan brand for years. It has always done well for me. I called Mylan Pharmaceuticals this morning. All Clonazepam strengths are on backorder. They are NOT being discontinued, but couldn't give me a reason why they are on backorder since they are the ones that make it? I am currently on TEVA brand. It is
not working for me. I did try "Activis" brand, and seemed to do a little better on this one but couldn't get it, so this is why I'm currently on TEVA brand. But I would like to get "Mylan" brand back as soon as possible.
I just got a different generic since CVS said the regular one is on back order. It does nothing. How much is the name brand Klonopin?
Just got Solco generic and it’s terrible. Like a sugar pill.
Re: Gnrcdrgsallsuck (# 34)
Thank you for that. I have 3 combat patches and I can’t tell differences. I think a lot of it is in people’s heads. However the FDA allowing different amounts of clonazepam in generics over 20% ratio , is concerning
Re: David (# 1)
This is the order of best generics to worst:
Teva - A rated generic
Accord - rated A/B
Mylan - one of the worst generic manufacturers
About 85% of Mylan’s drugs are rated B/C.
Re: David (# 1)
I have had to switch dosage by pill of Clonazepam b/c of a short of 1 mg tablets. I don't know that manufacturer. But I have been taking 0.5 mg of Clonazepam manufactured by Solco Healthcare and at the same time I have been breaking out intermittently during the day in various places (underarms, elbow crease) with what looks like contact dermatitis. I have clusters of itchy blister-like medium-sized red or white circles that do not have liquid in them and they recede, especially if I put OTC Benzodryl anti-itching cream. (Rx Desoximetasone, 0.25% worsens the condition.) I am systematically rewashing all my clothing and towels in small amounts of organic laundry detergent and fabric softener. Yet, today I woke up with the condition in the crook of my elbow though I was wearing a short-sleeve nightshirt. Perhaps I need to wash my bedding. But still I would like to see if this other change is contributing. Could you give me those numbers for Solco (0.5, 1 and 2 mg) so I can check on fillers? (I'm having to switch to 2 mg of Solco soon). Thanks!! Hope to hear from you soon.
Re: LeeLee (# 23)
What brand did you take before Accord? And what is a small amount.thanks
Accord is horrible. I took Teva for over 20 years. This past month since the switch to Accord has been one of the worst periods in my life. This pill doesn't relax me but makes me have headaches and feel tense. It also made me angry where I wasn't before as well as feeling unable to concentrate. I hate the Accord brand and will get off the drug if this is my only choice.
i actually overdosed 4 days after this... 120 1 mg klonopin and 50 225mg lyrica... 5 days in the icu.
Re: Katzi (# 37)
Yeah I have 80 Mylan .5mg Clonazepam and I can’t take them. Wish I could trade these for the .5mg Tevas.
Teva has been discontinued.I talked to customer service and they replaced Teva with Activis brand.I always preferred Teva but nothing I can do about it now.
Re: Mylan Bestie (# 31)
I'm back again - went through cold turkey withdrawal from Teva when the pharmacy switched me to Accord. Horrible. Accord has no Benzo in their clonazepam; therefor the withdrawal. Had a U/A in the ER and they found no Benzo in my urine. SOOOO I'm weaning myself off the Accord and feel better already. Have breathing problems - may or may not be due to the Accord - but no more nausea, no headache today so far. I think I'll do yoga breathing if I feel a panic attack coming on. Am wondering what Accord is supposed to do to alleviate anxiety? They certainly are NOT like the .5 mg Teva that I took for about 13 years. Oh, and through the entire withdrawal I didn't have any help from my psy's office - no return calls, no nothing. Finally called my PCP and she got me through it. I think I want to be done with this addicting stuff....
Re: Sam (# 8)
I just got 90 last month of 1mg accord and it worked fine for me. I broke them in half if the anxiety was low and at the end of the month I had 35 1mg pills left, never had that before. Now this month I have Teva 1mg, I'm going to see how they work compared to accord. I been on klonopin for about 5 yrs and never really compared them, the best way to do it is brake them in half and take as needed, that's the best way really to tell which one is working for you.
Good luck Eric! I am searching for the same reason. I did great with Mylan, now I am at a loss. Thanks for recommending the list. I have been googling ingredient lists like crazy this week looking for something similar. I'm trying different options as I am not rich enough to purchase name brand and what I've found is that some very similar ingredients in ones I've checked are some I've already tried (like Accord, for ex.)!! The ingredients were in a different order, though. It's all very confusing and alarming. If you liked Mylan, DON"T take Solco! Good luck.
Re: Connie (# 54)
Accord felt like it had none of the active ingredient so I went into cold turkey withdrawal. Had horrific time with it including seizure. Managed to get to Actavis (with Xanax in between) and am now taking Actavis .5 mg. Almost identical to Teva so it's working fine so far. Accord is made in China; Actavis in New Jersey.
Re: LeeLee (# 12)
Find individually owned pharmacies folks and they will 99% of the time order the generic manufacturer that you prefer.
Re: Rich (# 42)
Too much even with insurance. I did bite the bullet and bought it once but was allergic to blue #2 coloring. Also they are made with a "k" cutout in the middle and are almost impossible to break or cut in half evenly without crumbling. My doc told me that is done to keep you from buying higher mg. and halving them to save money, as may people do.
Is teva done or on backorder i have taken it 12 years now heavy dose. This Actavis is horrible. Feel sick to mu stomach tell me TEVA isnt gone
Re: Peter (# 58)
Yes, TEVA is no longer producing clonazepam; they bought Actavis and now my CVS is stocking Actavis. They were replacing the TEVA with ACCORD, which has no Benzos in it and caused cold turkey withdrawal for me - Horrible! My psy switched me to Xanax in the meantime (about 2 weeks) until I could get the Actavis. However, I do have bouts of nausea and dizziness with the Actavis, which I'm hoping will go away when my body gets used to it. Actavis for me is not as strong as TEVA was, so my prescription allows me to take an extra half tablet in the afternoon if I need it. I seem to notice more anxiety towards evening. I take 1 tab in the morning and 2 tabs (.5mg) about 12 hours later. Doesn't seem to be enough so I may try taking the 1/2 tab around 4 p.m. We're at the mercy of Big Pharma and they don't seem to give a darn about us - just how much money they can rake in. And I think they are getting pressure from gov't re the opioid epidemic and are equating those of who need medication for our health and well-being with that group - which is far from the truth.
Re: Kris (# 41)
Unfortunately Mylan did decide to discontinue clonazepam. I called them and sent an email asking to please reconsider. If they get enough people that need it, you never know. I know it's wishful thinking but it's worth a try...
