Clonazepam Help Me (Page 2)

I have always used the same brand of clonazepam. However they changed what is in the medication. I've been gravely ill because my body can't take the change. Now I want to not take it any longer because it's making me ill. How can I detox slowly if I don't have a decent batch of clo that agrees with me? If anyone has any real information please let me know. I'm ill feeling every day if I take it it makes me ill and get withdrawal If I don't take it I get still getting withdrawal.

Ativan is not strong, not even close to the strength 2mg Ativan is = to .5mg of Clonazepam and .5mg of Alprazolam. Plus Ativan does nothing unless it's the only Benzo you ever tried. Then it might work ok until you try anything else. But look it up it's not just my opinion it's facts

Sorry to hear you feel like this. Doctors reading these types of forums should know that they have caused the suicide rate to rise. I'm heading for 60 yr old in a few years I can honestly say that in the last 20 years I went into alcohol rehab got out thanks to diazepam, after Librium. Then left a year later, never took a drink of booze since only spent 1 time trying to reduce and stop diazepam. Succeeded, then found Etizolam rx from India as my anxiety was still killing me. Then 5 years of 1mg, pennies spent, then the abusers and Reddit advertising to government got them banned. I'm now back on diazepam. It's hard but folks our age should be treated with respect. We don't abuse meds but get cut off or down because of the posts by those that do the SSRI. If I stop, severe withdrawals. I'd be happy if UK got us to go daily to the doc for our meds.

You hit the nail on the head. My diazepam started to not work when they changed labeling on blister packs. I'm sure they put less active ingredient. I have a chronic illness after car crash. This is criminal. Less painkiller, less brain relaxation, muscle relaxation. They love giving out 3600mg of gabapentin a day but not pregabalin. Glad I still got my good Asian pharmacy. To those that say Pakistan diazepam pills are no good, fine. I'll just continue to get the best valium I've had in years (apart from Manos, were did they go).
Best clonazepam is galenika 2mg white tablets. They're strongest benzos out there and I used to take diazepam for 19 years prescribed and used to get diaz prodes. They're a Spanish brand. I was taking diaz every day and it doesn't take long for your tolerance to go up on them. Etizolam taken regularly brings your tolerance down. They don't give me meds my gp anymore, not even for my A/S which there no cure. I took clonazepam and after 10/15 mins anxiety gone and felt the diaz glow for 1st time in 2 years.
Re: Bennett56 (# 430)
same here; They wanted me to take ativan all day long - i said no way obviously. I went from 4mg 4x a day to the 2mg nightime does. the Klonopin works just as Roche said it would!
If I went from 4mg to 2mg as doctor/Roche said: why don't I just stop taking it? Seriously? How stupid are people? They put me on this drug in the hospitol ~25 years ago. Now I should change _again_!
I have used buspirone in conjunction with ativan before. It does seem to help with the ``more rapid'' excretion of the drug.
That is to say; I have taken 1 ativan in the morning and have used buspirone 1 or 2 hours before the second dose of ativan. It does seem to help incredibly. Howerver it does not last long enough time to replace the benzos.
As a suggestion; when they try to give you the hydrazine take it only at night; and be very warry of the antidepressants that they will try to offer you.
Many people who use benzodiazapines suffer from depression as well. They (unscrupilous people) do know about this and they will take advantage of you. My antidepressants of choice have been altered and are not longer effective.
Did anyone actually vote for this?
Re: Sarah (# 3)
Yeah! valium sucks. This is due to the mandatory replacement for AB class chemicals. They will start to substitute antibiotics soon. No, they will not notify you.
I have actually received many letters from pharmaceutical companies stating that they flat out change the active ingredient because I am a drug addict?!! They (mallinckrodt) put me in rehab (like drug rehab). I did not know what a single person was talking about? Seriously; what is a Dee Oh See?
They asked me how I stay clean this morning... No I am not joking; I said I took darn shower.
They (e.g., human) have been exposed to a level of ration from the damn learning machines that makes them so stupid that they become deadly dangerous.
If you can figure out how to "get off of'' benzodiazapines - I would love to know why you started to take them? I take benzodiazapines for their anoxilitic effects on the gabba receptors. Why would anyone stop taking a medication that is working for a chronic condition? _They_ enjoy using our brains for entertainment. This is beyond ridiculous.
To reorder the modulation will result in hysteresis. This is known to be true with radio transmissions and the human brain.
I.E. Please stop playing games with our brain - people are starting to notice the "registation procedure''. This is worse than java (a computer programming language, not an island).
I been taken Clonazepam for about 10years, I used to take 3 times a day, but now now I just take it as needed or especially at night.
You have to ask your doctor to write "name brand" Klonopin. It was on the news that many generics, including clonazepam, is "drywall" and other crap. Someone else on this forum, went to the ER in a full episode. They tested his urine and there was NO benzo in his system! I think the corruption is them weaning us by feeding us garbage. My doctor changed me to .5mg KLONOPIN at bedtime. He did not even question what I said. You have to stick up for yourself now. Good luck.
Re: Jay (# 426)
Diazepam is Valium, Xanax is a way lot stronger then the Diazepam, they both are in the Benzodiazepine class of medications, and they are extremely hard to get off of once you are put on them for over 30 days. The same class of meds., the Xanax, Klonipin, etc.. Ativan are stronger!
As a former user of clonazepam, you have to taper very very very slowly. You can read a manual called the Aston Manual, written by Heather Aston. She knew how toxic Benzo's were and are, and therefore written how it works, what it does to us and how to get off. Most Medical Doctors do not know how severe the withdrawals are, and how long they last. My withdrawal lasted 18 months. I had so many symptoms, me and about 3000 others that I know of. I wish you all the best. We are hostages to this medication that should only be taken 2 weeks to a month.
You will have withdrawals, its part of it, and they could last for weeks to over a year! I know I was one of them. It should be in the front as the opioid crisis right now. Lisa Ling on CNN will be featuring a story about them Sept. 29. DO NOT GO TO A DETOX they do not know about how to safely taper you off of them... I again know from experience. If you have questions.. you can reply. I do hope you are able to get off that wicked medication

Exactly how I reacted. Denial. Anger. I had no choice as my GP had retired and the new one wanted his patients on either minimum dose or off. As I said I was not having a dig but you really need to think about this before you become agoraphobic, old and frozen out of any social circles that you had. As for the tests, if they were not looking for benzos then of course it wouldn’t show. I was passing Medicals on 60mg of diazepam. They were looking for opioids and synthetic opioids. I close by saying that if you don’t think you’re addicted then go without, report back how it went. I’ve resigned myself to being addicted, albeit on just one tablet a day now but I can’t go without it. Addiction/dependence doesn’t matter what word you prefer but they both mean you can’t go without these awful group of drugs. The suicide rate from users is ridiculous but the medical profession doesn’t like to talk about it. Please, before you get angry, read the Ashton manual. It’s hard to discuss with you if you are not even bothering to do so. Best of luck, to all of us. Personally, I’d have rather died young than end up as I am.
Re: Sarah (# 4)
Sarah & Christy, I couldn't agree more!! I was on Teva (which just bought actavis) in the meantime, they gave me klonopin or the generic from ACCORD....OMG.......what a nightmare. I can't even go into all the things this horrible ACCORD's klonopin did to me. I begged Costco to get me back the Actavis/Teva brand, they are ordering it today. YOU know the difference especially if you've taken it like I have for years. NO comparison. Why doesn't the FDA know ACCORD is made in China and, it's a fraudulent drug (at least for me!)?
Have seizures and I have problems sleeping at night because of nerve pain. I also have epilepsy and anxiety disorder! And when I don’t take at least 4 x 2 mg pills a day I can’t venture over to perform any work whatsoever as I have problems getting back up from the pain. It travels down from my leg up through my knee, my hip, my back, my shoulder, neck, and sometimes it travels down my elbow and arm. My wrist hurt a lot and my hands & fingers lock up a lot of times.
Use a pharmacy that has and will supply you with the meds you need.
Try the generic brand from Accord. It has binders that make the medicine act differently than other generics. Like Teva uses cornflower which breaks down slowly. Look at the ingredients that are not the actual medicine as they can really make a difference. I was struggling like you until my pharmacy changed to this brand. I was suspicious until I tried one and it was soooooooooooo wonderful to find relief. Everyone reacts differently, but I hope you can try this brand. Wishing you the best!!! Hang tight!!!!
I was given teva 833 brand when I formerly took Sandoz E64.They're both generic however I find the Sandoz to be infinetly more potent and measurably more effective
