I just had to switch generic brands for my citalopram. I take 10mg; but this pill looks bigger than my old pill. Whereas the old one said .5 (or something to that effect), this one only has a "c" on one side. Can I Break A Citalopram Hbr 20 Mg Tablet In Half? ## I have been on Cit for about 6 years 10mg. the great news is it made me feel great took away all that angst and low mood. BUT I have gained about 2 stone and its made my IBS terrible. its wierd because i always saw Cit as a cure and would look for other reasons why i was getting bigger, having bad stomach. it was only when I started a serious diet and had lost nothing after 4 weeks (while my daughter on same diet lost ten pounds) that i started to research reasons. I've used Cilift for 3 months, and systematically stopped using it as advised. My question as follows. Can the discontinuing use of Cilift cause any change in your menstruation cycle? ## Hi, Johcha! In theory it shouldn't, since it just contains Citalopram, which is an SSRI class antidepressant, but in reality anything that stresses us and/or upsets our body's balance can upset our hormonal balance. I am not sure why you were advised to systematically stop using it, because if you've only been on it for 3 months, then you're really not even giving it any time to work and help you. The first time i got this is was in a oval shape, i refilled at same place and now it is round with rdy344 on it. My mom is 78 and recently started with panic attacks and depression. Her doc put her on Cilift. She has been on for 2 weeks now and still no change except her hands shake and she is at time neaseous. How long till the Cilift kicks in and will the symptoms/side effects go away. She has high blood pressure which is being treated. Thank you ## This is Citalopram an antidepressant. White (possibly a very light yellow), Oblong (similar to the size of a citalopram pill), there is a 15 on the top of the pill, centered in the middle of the pill; also it has a | (A.K.A. a score mark). There are no other markings on this pill. I got it for severe back pain from my sister, who got it from her friend. It makes me feel like I am on heroin or other strong opiates (feels much stronger than the Percocet 10's I was given for after wisdom tooth extraction) also there appears to be some medium to o o medium-fast tracers. I have taken a 20mg dosage of citalopram every day for one week. Today I also smoked methamphetamine, consumed three ecstasy (MDMA) tablets, and a 1.5mg dose of Xanax. I am concerned about the potential of respiratory depression and other serious side effects and interactions. ## I also take the combined oral contraceptive pill which can apparently interact with Xanax. ## Doing all of those drugs together (some of them illegal) and then worry about the affects is just insane u should never mix drugs like that!
