Whereas the old one said .5 (or something to that effect), this one only has a "c" on one side. Is this really only 10mg? ## Based on my research, the pill you are describing is in fact Citalopram hydrobromide 10 mg. For verification, the size is: 6.00 mm Manufacturer: Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories National Drug Code (NDC): 57664-0507 From what I understand, it's not just the Citalopram taking up "real estate" in your pill. It's also filled with inactive ingredients (binders and fillers), "such as": corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, and other things of that nature. Can I Break A Citalopram Hbr 20 Mg Tablet In Half? ## I have been on Cit for about 6 years 10mg. the great news is it made me feel great took away all that angst and low mood. BUT I have gained about 2 stone and its made my IBS terrible. its wierd because i always saw Cit as a cure and would look for other reasons why i was getting bigger, having bad stomach. it was only when I started a serious diet and had lost nothing after 4 weeks (while my daughter on same diet lost ten pounds) that i started to research reasons. Theres no question its this horrible little drug and i am furious that my doctor never thought to see if Cit was a cause. over many many forums the same theme is coming thru, doctors fobbing off patients that Cit doesnt cause weight gain and there should be no withdrawal s...

I've used Cilift for 3 months, and systematically stopped using it as advised. My question as follows. Can the discontinuing use of Cilift cause any change in your menstruation cycle? ## Hi, Johcha! In theory it shouldn't, since it just contains Citalopram, which is an SSRI class antidepressant, but in reality anything that stresses us and/or upsets our body's balance can upset our hormonal balance. I am not sure why you were advised to systematically stop using it, because if you've only been on it for 3 months, then you're really not even giving it any time to work and help you. It takes 4 to 6 weeks for it to reach its full level of efficacy in the body. Thus, if you're stopping it regularly, it's never getting there and you're basically starting over ...

White (possibly a very light yellow), Oblong (similar to the size of a citalopram pill), there is a 15 on the top of the pill, centered in the middle of the pill; also it has a | (A.K.A. a score mark). There are no other markings on this pill. I got it for severe back pain from my sister, who got it from her friend. It makes me feel like I am on heroin or other strong opiates (feels much stronger than the Percocet 10's I was given for after wisdom tooth extraction) also there appears to be some medium to o o medium-fast tracers. Of course it could just be being produced by the combo I'm on right now: A lil DXM some antihistamines, 1000mgs of aspirin, also 400mg ER seroquel, and 1.5 of those white pills (still don't know what they are though. Anyways some help would be apprec...
UpdatedCAN I TAKE CITALOPRAM HBR 20 MG AND ADIPEX? ## No, these two actually should not be taken together. When combined, they each increase the toxicity of each other, which could cause a dangerous reaction just like that of an overdose. There is also the risk of developing serotonin syndrome and both of these interactions have the potential of being fatal. You can learn more Citalopram details here and you can learn more Adipex details here. Is there anything else I can help with?
I am a 42 year old woman and have gained weight on a steadily basis since using cylift. My diet and exercise regime has not changed. Not even dieting can assist because the scale just keeps on creeping up, slowly but surely. Can this be happening to me? ## Cilift contains the active ingredient Citalopram, which is an SSRI antidepressant and to be honest, this class of medications is notorious for causing weight gain. Learn more Cilift details here. There's really nothing you can do about it, as long as you are taking the medication, but the weight gain does usually reverse once the drug is stopped. There are other options available. Have you looked into trying a different medication? ## Hi, im 38 and have been on this drug for 7 months now, I have gone from 9 stone to 11 stone 5lb a...

I have taken a 20mg dosage of citalopram every day for one week. Today I also smoked methamphetamine, consumed three ecstasy (MDMA) tablets, and a 1.5mg dose of Xanax. I am concerned about the potential of respiratory depression and other serious side effects and interactions. ## I also take the combined oral contraceptive pill which can apparently interact with Xanax. ## Doing all of those drugs together (some of them illegal) and then worry about the affects is just insane u should never mix drugs like that! I lost an uncle because of drug mixing ## I have to agree with Laurie on this one, as mixing these drugs can certainly be fatal. Regarding any possible interactions though, I couldn't locate specific details that included ecstasy, but I did find that methamphetamine and xanax ...
