I have been a depressive all my life, so were my parents and parents before them. Ive also always suffered from insomnia for as long as I have lived, even as a baby I have been told that I never napped and would only sleep for a few hours nightly. In my youth I saw therapists and smoked cannabis which mostly kept me in check. After the suicide of my dearest friend in our late teens things got really bad, I lost any drive to get out of bed, I never left the house, i never ate or slept, I finally found help in Zopiclone and Lorazepam, I was finally able to sleep every night and leave the house without having anxiety attacks. I went on like this for a while, doing ok, I started studying and working and fell in love, Life was good for a while, my relationship had its ups and downs and at ti...

Round peach in color one side has a "c" and the other side is blank ## It is a 10mg citalopram ## Just to confirm for others, this is a 10mg Citalopram tablet, manufactured by Caraco. And for additional verification, the National Drug Code is 57664-0507. To help with any discrepancies, the color of the tablet is also depicted as orange in the product description. I have been on Citalopram for two years but recently switched my prescription from Walgreens to Target (for convenience). I discovered that these retailers get their Citalopram from different manufacturers (the pills look entirely different, for one; and, the mfr. is also listed on the label). Within a few weeks it was obvious that the new prescription wasn't doing as good as job. So, I switched back (to Walgreens) and I'm glad I did. Sure enough, I've been feeling better again. Lesson: You never kjnow: your body may respond better to one manufacturer's generic than another. I had read this was possible, and it ended up being true in this case for me. ## HI! I'm glad you were able to switch back to the one that worked better for you. They may not always get theirs fr...

I've been on the pill (Diane 35) for 7 months now and was put on Cilift (Citalopram) about 2 weeks ago for depression and anxiety. I'm 18 years old. I've been feeling very strange: loss of appetite, tremors, I need to wee a lot more frequently, I'm going to bed much earlier (around 20:30) and I always wake up at 00:30. I toss and turn the whole night, I never get a good night's rest. I feel very weak and shaky, sometimes lightheaded or like I'm going to faint. If I take the pill a few hours late, I will always vomit early the next morning around 2 am . I was just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this, any info will be great :) ## If Cilift is the only new medication that's been added, then it's most likely the one that's causing these si...

I've been on Citalopram for 6 weeks, one of the major issues I have been having over the past 2 weeks is waking up 2-3 time's a night. I can fall asleep easily but its the waking up. Interesting that this sleep disturbance side effect has just started 2 weeks ago, and increasing. It's becoming problematic to my daily life. I'm seeing my Dr this week, and considering whether to go off them. Aside from this side effect and sexual dysfunction, jittering during the day, they seem to be definitely taking the edge of depression. I have been on 20 mg of Citalopram for 29 days now and not feeling any different. Still did not want to come into work this morning, feeling very anxious and wanting to quit my job to the point my stomach is doing somersaults. Should I not be feeling some internal change by now? ## Yes, it should have started to have some effect after almost a month. However, not every medication works for everyone that tries it, so it could be that just isn't the right one to help you. Have you tried any others, or is this the first? ## Thanks Verwon. No, this is my first medication. Mind you my job is legitimately stressful so that may play into it as well. Funny, had all of the side effects on day two but just not the benefits.
