Or possibly Mevacor, which contains Lovastatin? The name clearly leads me to believe they meant some type of statin medication, these are usually the first choice for lowering cholesterol. Does roseday medicine have any non veg content?? ## Most medicines display RED or GREEN dot to indicate whether its contents include any Non-Veg materials. I have been taking Livalo since March 2013. It is now September 2013, and I am having the following problems from it: 1. General muscle weakness 2. pain in hips, knees, ankles and feet 3. Memory loss/mood changes 4. stomach problems (tightness, gas) for which the doctors can find no other physical cause. These symptoms took a while, after I started taking Livalo, to manifest. But in the last four weeks have showed up like gangbusters. I have been taking lipitor for about five years, and my last annual physical showed I am now pre-diabetic. I have an older sister, who was diagnosed with diabetes last year, and she had been taking lipitor for many years. There is no history of diabetes in my family, on either side, so I am very concerned that Lipitor is causing the problem. My doctor says I need to stay on the medication, that if I quit taking it, my cholesterol levels will peak. Right now I am in the low-normal range. In reading the studies on-line, it says if you quit taking Lipitor, there is a chance of getting a stroke. Nevertheless, I am determined to go off the Lipitor. Trilipix I was on for 2 weeks and I broke out in hives from head to toe. My doc. told me it was the worst he has ever seen. My blood sugar was real high and my creatine and bun was high. To keep my cholesterol in check my cardiologist prescribed tonact 10 later reduced to 5.After 5 years of no side affects, I developed severe muscle and joint pains,and was popping pain killers and applying gels on effected areas. One of my tablets has been changed from an oblong Orange coloured tablet with 40 on one side and plain on the other side to a white one and since my other medications are white I am having difficulty identifying it, it is White, oblong with D 4 on one side (has an indent between letters) and is plain on the other side, it could be my Cholesterol tablet.
