yes, in the hospital where I work many cleaning staff are also suffering from headaches and sickness due to using chlor clean tablets
Information that i've gathered indicates that Chlor-Clean has an "Acute Hazard Warning Label" that is marked as "level 1" -aka- containing highly toxic substance(s).
The U.S. EPA gives a warning label of Category 1 to the most acutely toxic pesticide products and Category 4 to the least acutely toxic pesticide products.
The U.S. EPA (1) restricts use of some pesticide products because they are acutely toxic to humans or beneficial insects; have been shown to cause worker illnesses, groundwater contamination, bird or fish kills; or their drift damages other crops. RUPs can be used only by certified and licensed applicators, and then only under specific conditions.

@m1, do they have tablets of this horrible stuff as well? I'd hope not.
In any case, I hope the above information helps address the potential dangers of Chlor-Clean!
Ive just started working for the deep clean team in a hospital. I want to know the long term effects of using chlor clean as we do every day, sometimes all day. It burns my eyes and my nose, its really nasty stuff but like i said, i'm worried about my health in the long term. I will pass your info onto my colleagues.
Yes that can cause severe reactions. I had to be given a high does of benedryl after I developed breathing difficulties, wheezing, felt like my throat was closing. It also ate away/burned the skin it touched. And I developed a severe rash accompanied by swelling over 95% of my body
yes we have recently start using Chlor clean in the hospital I work in and I have been out sick lately
, with extreme tiredness, slowness of breath, swollen face around eyes n sinus area, also have had a very bad cough causing a burning sensation when needing to cough. I am now concerned after reaading this that if I return to work and will be exposed to and have to use this toxic substance.

My wife is a cleaner in whiston hospital and tonight is a patient on a drip her eyes are like a boxers after a fight and only thing we can put it down to is this stuff,no proper yraining or ppe supplied by nhs we are looking to sue
I too work at the hospital and I am suffering from respiratory problems, we use this horrible chloraclean all the time, I was in intensive care a few years ago with double pneumonia, on life support, I am still to this day having breathing problems and headaches and I think the fumes from this chemical is causing more problems, ive never had breathing problems like this and its so worrying.
Hi, I worked in a hospital and used this product for about two years.
Since I started singing (a year into my two years at the hospital) I have had no end of problems with my throat. I wake up in the middle of the night or in the morning with a burning sensation that brings tears to my eyes when I swallow, tightness and excess of saliva at times. I did not drink (only cola) and now I can't even have coffee regularly without it irritating my throat.
I can't say that these things are connected but if anyone else is having a similar issue it might make them think more about it.
Also, I went to my GP and he said it was "acid reflux" which I'm pretty sure it isn't. Acid reflux is a good cover all diagnosis for any throat pain. The medicine he gave me didn't help sooth/ fix the problem and systematically the problem comes back.
I feel like the lining of my throat may have been damaged by inhaling Chlorclean daily for two years.
Looking for information about the use of Chlor clean tablets... What symptoms are other people having? I've been suffering from side effects for over 3 years now.
I am a pregnant domestic at a hospital and wondered if there were any risks to my unborn baby as I am regularly using chlorclean? Please advise.
