The inside of my nose is very dry and the mucus is bloody all the time. Has anyone else had this problem? I need the name of this medicine in USA and if it is used in this country or not and the reasons of it. Thank you very much ## want to share knowledge ## I can't find anything listed under this name in the U.S., the closest I can find is Isosorbide Mononitrate, which is used for heart disease and other conditions, so totally different from what the Monotrate is used for. As to why it isn't used here, I cannot tell you, you would need to check the FDA.gov site and see if they have any information on it, since they are the ones who regulate drugs in the U.S. ## I want to know about usage.

It is a small tablet (around 5mm diameter roughly), pale yellow in colour and round. It is about 1mm in depth and has the markings JI on the topside, not marked on but engraved. My father says he was given it and told it was to treat angina, but the hospital later said he was not seen by a doctor and was given no drugs. I am curious as to what it is, especially since he said on the day that he had taken 5 of them. They did him no harm that we can tell. It was around 2 weeks ago.
