hi I'm looking for a Dr in Lafayette Louisiana that wil prescribe a 90 day prescription
Bill: do you have dr taylor's phone number? I am also in new Orleans and looking for a suboxone docter. It would be greatly appreciated.
Bill: try Dr Traylor shes on the westbank, she wrote me subutex. just tell her u cant afford the suboxone
theres also generics of suboxone now, only for the films i think.
Needymeds is an online information resource of programs that provide assistance to people who are unable to afford their medications and health care costs.
Dr Nicholas Pejic. His address is 1301 Antonine St, New Orleans, LA 70115 (504) 899-1682. Also if you go to his website you can make an appointment online. It's 300 dollars for the first visit then 150 after that. He is really helpful and as for the prescription go to needymeds or there is a program that will pay for your prescription in full for one year.
Hi Worried Mom, Go to the suboxone web site and enter your zipcode to find one in your area. Most sub drs. only take cash. You want to start calling soon because they can only have so many patients and the slots fill up quick.
Thanks so much. He is struggling so bad. It's been a very rough week. He has an appt Thursday but wish it was sooner. He is literally having such a rough time. I don't quite understand all of this with opiate dependency. He did buy suboxone off the street back where he lived and said it really helps. Don't know how much all this will cost. But he is worth it
I was on roxy pretty hard for about 3 years then figured I needed help so I went to a clinic back home (nc) and was prescribed 20 mg of subtex a day then I moved to new orleans and was going to a doctor in lake Charles for about 5 months and I was getting 58 a month for a whopping $300 a month!! Now I don't have the money to afford my subs and am now on my 7th day without them but I have been taking tramodol and it has worked wonders as far as w/d goes and belive me I have been threw w/d to the extreme I'm just hoping it doesn't prolong the w/d witch they are non narcotics so I don't see why they would but anyways hopefully in the next few days I will be 100% clean and some what normal. Thanks for reading this long boring post lol
Also in need of help/tips with suboxone. Currently pregnant and need to figure something out in the boutte/new orleans area asap. I'm 24 weeks pregnant and withdrawal is not an option for me.. could lose the baby if I withdraw. I'm not from this area, I dont know anyone or much about this area. Please help. Ive been on subutex for the last 3-4 months but I couldn't make them last this month. Will be out completely by tomorrow. Thank you. Any suggestions or anyone who may be able.to help, it's much appreciated.
Re: chewy gore (# 2)
Dr.Talbot has retired,Dr.Prasad is there now. They no longer accept any insurance,it's CASH ONLY.Depending on if they like you or not u can pay anywhere between 140-280 in cash per month. Then there are these stupid classes they make u take like 4 times a year.Thats $60.00 for 1 hour,CASH of course.I know cause I have been a patient there for the past 3 years and still am there currently. Its all about the money.I have United healthcare (Medicaid) and they pay for 60 Suboxone films per month,it's 8mg/2mg.Its exactly 30 days and not a day early will they fill.U have tp get prior authorizations every 6 months.O yeah lastly u only pay $3.00 for those 60 films that u get every month.
They have a Behavioral Health center in Marroro. They have 3 or 4 doctors that prescribe Suboxone. You don't pay for doc visits but you have to pay for your sub. The number is 504-349-8708.

I know a Dr. He does charge 150, but some other Dr's charge 350.00.
Dr. Michael Tran - He is on Vets by taco bell. They also have other Dr's in the office that charge the same price.

Good luck and God bless.
Re: Jaye (# 160)
Dr. Allen J. Herbert [411 E Vaughn Ave. Ste 203. Ruston, LA 71270 / Phone #: 318-255-7474]...but there seems to be many doctors in Ruston who can write it. Before I got medicaid I had called his office and they told me the cash price but I just don't remember. But I do know they will give the info over the phone. Best of luck to you and thank you for answering my questions. Withdrawal is scary business!
Re: North Louisiana (# 154)
Yes I have healthy blue and it pays for my suboxone
Re: Chester (# 162)
Thank you for your reply!! I appreciate it!!! Im still unsure of what I want to do but I do like having all information available so I can make an informed decision!!
Re: Sue (# 27)
From what I can tell, most of them won't accept Medicaid because Medicaid reimburses at such a low rate (like $28 for the visit or something like that). That's why there's no cost in filling the subs, just the prior authorization that's needed. Hope this helps.
