I am looking for a doctor who prescribes suboxone in the New Orleans, slidell Louisiana area. I am a single mom with no insurance, can't afford 350 a visit and prescription cost. My kids have medicaid but I don't.

Dr. Talbot does to some patients but not new patients. You have to be a patient for a while. Probably over a year. Very good and caring Dr.

Hey mike I would like to know about that dr my doctor just got shut down. I take subutex and I want to keep the subutex but every doctor I call they tell me they only prescribe suboxone and I can't afford the visit and suboxone, so if you could help me out with a doctor I would be so grateful.

It will be hard to get Xanax but I can tell you that you will get kps or Valium. Here is a number dr Varnado 504-393-6355. Hope that helps. It might be a month wait because they have so many patients. Another psychiatrist: google dr ken Roy. He might be able to see you ASAP. Varnado will take a while, that is even if they accept new patients.

Dr. Talbot has great people working in the office all except for the lady who schedules the appointments, she is extremely rude & she always has an attitude. I have never been so disrespected in my life by staff at the Dr's office.

I live in Northeast Louisiana and from what I understand if a person is responsible for children under the age of 19, that person can get Medicaid. I know one woman who kept her job and recieved Medicaid while raising her daughter. I think this is something the state does not advertise but maybe you should apply. Good Luck hope you get approved!

I can honestly say I have never experienced anything other than totally polite and friendly people at Dr. Talbot's office. Remember what they deal with all day every day, and remember people will generally treat you how you treat them.

Waytoocool , until Louisiana expands Medicaid, if someone has dependents and the household meets the Medicaid criteria, the parent and children can receive Medicaid. There are restrictions and limits regarding suboxone and similiar drugs used for the treatment of drug addiction. Louisiana willl be expanding Medicaid July 1, 2016. That means that a person doesn't have to have dependents, be disabled, elderly or be a dependent in order to be eligible for Medicaid. Income restriction will still exist, but they will vary from what they currently are.
