My mother has been prescribed zerodol for chronic lower back pain . How long can she take this and what are the side effects? Moreover, can it be taken on a longterm basis?
Thank you.

Hello, Sarah! How are you and your mother?

Zerodol contains the active ingredient Aceclofenac, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation.

There are some possible risks associated with long-term use, such as stomach ulceration or liver damage, so she should only take it as long a her doctor says that it is safe for her to do so.

Is there anything else I can help with?
