Can You Take Methadone And Suboxone Together?

If you're on Methadone can you still take Suboxone safely?

NO! They are both very strong narcotics, it is not safe to take both. In addition, Suboxone also contains Naloxone, which neutralizes other opiates. This is done to prevent people from still trying to get high off of other narcotics while they are under Suboxone treatment.

Also it will put you into IMMEDIATE withdrawals...so DO NOT DO IT!!!!

So true I went into acute withdrawals. I did not feel human. I thought I could go get high and get rid of the feeling, so wrong. I t made it even worse. I am terrified of suboxen now. Don't take it too early!

First hand info here, do NOT take Sub. with methadone in your system, you have to be well into wd b4 you do. If you have any methadone you will go into SEVERE withdrawal right away you'll wish you had died the only thing i tried that helped a little was i took the max dose of Sub. right away and i felt fine in about 6 hours.

Too everyone about suboxen and methadone. They do not mix and I am one of those that wish I was dead when I took it. Do not mix with heroin, same thing will happen. You are suppose to wait until you are going thru withdrawals before you take but most of us do not want to go thru that so some take too early. Do not. Just FYI Carlo post about suboxen is 4 years old but we can all be reminded of this.

I'm on the methadone program because I got pregnant and I was too F***ed up in my addiction to think of what I was doing to my child. I went up to 65mgs and its been a year now, a year of straight Hell... granted thus is the longest time I've been clean I was in a mommy and me program so I could keep my baby completed it and I'm now on a sober living house. It's been such a inconvenience to get to the clinic and I really don't want to be indecent on that s***.. do you see all the people that have been on it? It's definitely a lifetime fall back.. not to mention they all have canes, hunched over and no teeth.. the Dr. Said she doesn't recommend me to get off completely. At the same time there is a lot of drugs stuff that happens there and I don't want to he involved with that place.. I'm on 25 mgs now I started the detox in the program but stopped it when I was about to leave. I didn't want to relapse being the real trial is out here and I was just trying g to think logic. Now I have not drAnk for 2 days and it was only a tiny Sip and because I have not taken it for how cal I stop taking this s*** the psychologists I go this a sub Dr. He gave me ,3 2 mgs per day and my plan is to wait for a few Days until the withdrawal comes hard than start with a 1/2 so on.. how long exactly how long should I wait before taking a 2
