Can Taking 25 Hydrocodone Apap 5-500 At Once Be Fatal? (Page 2) (Top voted first)

If a person takes 25 hydrocodone apap 5-500 tablets at once will this just make them really sick or can it possibly be fatal?

Dude. quite literately i took 15 5/500 hydrocodone approx. 12 hours ago. im still feeling the effects of the pill. i tried eating cereal. puked it back up......gross.
yeah i think i jus damaged my liver badly. i dont think im gonna die. though it was a suicide attempt

12500 mg of Acetaminophen will do more damage to your liver than the 125mg of Hydro. I take 90mg a day, for the past 13 years, with 325mg of acet for each 10 of Hydro. Bottom line is it will probably put you to sleep, and you will wake up with your liver on fire and maybe badly damaged! Kill you? Probly not! (Unless you wash it down with a quart of vodka! :-/

I've got 95 - 7.5/500 hydrocodone & 20 10/325 oxycodone plus to 20 mg clonazepam -is this enough to get the job done (termination) without any possibility of being "rescued" given a 3 hour window? Beeen drinking heavily for 2 hours already

what about helping other people out with money getting f***ed over by another person filing for fraud because it really happened having to deal with all the fraud drama .not having anyone to tell to possibly losing your job that you love & losing everything in life before you even get the chance to enjoy it or having the loss && death of your true love at the age of 19 and still dealing with the painful memories

There's nothing in the bible I read that states that taking your own life will send you to Hell. It may indicate that a person may need to take a close look at the relationship he has with his creator but an "unforgiveable sin", I don't think so. I believe the bible actually states that the only unforgiveable sin is not accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. Unfortunately, some folks that profess Christianity would be wise to follow the teachings of Christ and quit interjecting and imposing their own opinions on anyone other than themselves.

Yeah...I can tell you've never experienced the pain of severe depression or suicidal ideation. Glad you're not the only one I wiuld have to go to when I was really struggling.

HollyG. really? it's not selfish to kill yourself... people are so stupid to be selfish and hurt others that they drive them to suicide. They just want the pain to stop. If you were in that position then you would understand. so just stop.

I hope you never experience severe depression. I have been struggling with it my whole life. Nobody wants to be depressed or suicidal they are in terrible pain and can't think of another way out. Probably have no support network and could use some f##ing empathy. Some of you people are disgusting and heartless.

HollyG. Suicide is not always selfish. Was Robin Williams Selfish? He had so many gifts that he shared with so many people. I don't see him as selfish. I think pain severity, physical or psychological, is inversely related to sympathy or empathy for others; Moreover, people tend to rationalize their actions. They may convince themselves that their actually doing right by their loved ones by sparing them from the disruptive impact and emotional turmoil associated with being a caretaker. There's no sparing them from the grieving process they must go through either way. The sooner they do it the sooner they can get on with life.

Besides those who are actually loved by somebody Holly, consider those who may be old, alone, fatally ill, in pain, impoverished, and incapable of sustaining themselves any longer. She may suffer multiple fatal illnesses: AIDS, HEP-C Emphysema, Peripheral Neuropathy all at once. There is a quality of life issue here. Even if she has one person, say a sister, or a brother, or maybe she has both but all they do is argue with each other about who's gonna take responsibility and who's in the better position to help, so neither one dose anything. These half hearted siblings pose the occasional obligatory query concerning her plight, but concern ends if it requires making a sacrifice such as offering a cot when there is a real risk of homeless. In fact, after expressing fear of being sick and homelessness and confiding to her brother (who has a 100K job and a $1M Long Island home) that suicide may be the only other solution (if no housing solution presents itself) even providing details about how she plans to do it, her brother endorsed the plan calling it the product of clear rational thinking (as opposed to depression or other mental illness). So I ask you HollyG, do you really think she is being selfish?

Is it better to opt for a slow painful natural death complicated by extreme poverty and most likely homelessness to delay these siblings grief? (Note: when I say extreme poverty SSI = $710/month for everything. That's it, no food stamps in Fl. for single adult males, 7 year waiting list for housing assistance and possibly indefinite for non-Latin adult males w/ no children). Some people, in such tenuous positions are probably just better off dead. Given these circumstances, is asking if 25 hydrocodone will kill you really all that ridiculous. Given the all the botched executions of late, I think these are very sensible questions. After all, a failed suicide attempt is the worst of all possible outcomes. Ending up with failed organs, in a coma, and worse off then you started is a fate worse then death.

how would/could YOU!!! possibly know how bad some ones life is that they are suicidal!! I wake every day in severe pain! I struggle thru ever second of every hour of ever day pain management HAS NOT!!!!! been enough!!!! it draws a SERIOUS amount of emotional as well as physical drain on a person!!!! I wish EVERY day I could just die!!! until you find yourself in an intolerable situation! and find an appropriate way to live thru it! don't dare judge anothers situation!

Liver damage can occur at 4000 mg of acetaminophen, but it's not gonna cause death. The liver is very tough, you would need to take an acute dose of about 10,000-15,000 mg of acetaminophen to even worry about death. I've taken 30 in one night and was fine, so learn what you're talking about and then give advice.

I too am suffering from depression and feelings of hopelessness. I am a follower of Jesus and am trying my best to live the life he wants me to live. There are times I feel I am beyond hope and beyond grace, but I fight everyday to continue. To do better than the day before. I can honestly say that I still have days where I wish the pain would stop, the fears, the doubts. I am going to take my life tonight. I am so tired of the pain, the rejection, the lies that people tell. They say they care, that they love and value you, but in reality they don't. The trauma of childhood sexual abuse is just too much to bear. I have asked for help, but it falls on deaf ears.

I pray that God will have mercy on me!

Taking too much of a potent narcotic painkiller such as Hydrocodone APAP (brand Vicodin) can certainly be fatal. If somebody does this it is imperative to call 911 immediately.

I only have 18 7.5/325 hydrocodone/APAP (Norco) pills, 6 0.5mg alprazolam (Xanax), and 4 50mg amitriptyline (Elavil) pills left.. Will this combination if taken at once with a few promethazine hcl pills be lethal?
