Can One Drink Alcohol When Taking Pur Blocka?

I've been having chest pains for almost 3 years sometimes I feel like my heart will stop beating. My GP said that I have angina pectoris and low blood pressure, then prescribed Pur Blocka. Can one drink alcohol when taking Pur Bloka?

It is never a good idea to drink alcohol while taking a prescription medication, or having been diagnosed with any medical condition, it can worsen the side effects, according to the NIH, and may put your life at risk, when combined with some medical conditions.

However, a major symptom of angina usually includes chest pain, which is not something you listed among your symptoms.

What you've listed, according to NIH reports, are symptoms of palpitations, which in most cases, are actually harmless and require no treatment.

What type of doctor did you consult? Was it a general practitioner, or a cardiologist?
