Hello, Twinmomma! How are you doing? Sorry about the pain you're in and congratulations on the twins!
As to a doctor for pain medications, due to the new regulations that were put in place this year, if you require them on a long-term, ongoing basis, then you'll need to see a pain management specialist. General practitioners and surgeons have been severely restricted on what they can prescribed, how much they can prescribe, why they can prescribe it and how long they can prescribe it.
Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you somewhere? That would be the easiest way of finding the help you need.
Alternatively, we do have a great pain management place called The Washington Center for Pain Management, they have doctors in various areas that can help people suffering from chronic pain and have been highly recommended by several people I know. You can call them at 425-774-1538.
Overlake Hospital in Bellevue also has a speciality pain clinic, you can call them for more information at 425-688-5000
Harborview/University of Washington also has a pain relief clinic, you can reach them at 206-744-7065.
As an aside, I have to say that while we do get a lot of rain, it's mainly light and not heavy downpours as most people from outside of the area seem to think. :-) Most Seattleites don't even bother with umbrellas most of the time.
Is there anything else I can help with?
