i am on 76mls of methadone have been clean from heroin addiction for 8 months. things were great, me and my partner of 12 years were on a high because we were clean but for the past few weeks iv became majorly depressed and he my partner started getting 'itchy' he came home yesterday with heroin ....major regrets and i now feel so low and disgusted with us both its even worse because we are at the drug screening clinic today!! why i wasnt strong enough yesterday to say no is beyond me uuugh anyway my question is this if i got someone who is completely drug free to give me a urine sample and added a tiny droplet of methadone to it would i pass a drug screening test? i want to come clean we have been addicts for 10 years we have finally a brilliant drug worker who has helped us ALOT and put her neck on the line for us as well, the staff really liked us, they sent my partner away to detox 7 months ago and it cost them £3000 he was extremely lucky as that is hardly ever done in the town we live in and from the facility we are at i dnt even want to look them in the eyes. we feel so bad and dnt want to let anyone down. someone told us they have been putting methadone in clean urine for 2 yrs and getting away with it im not so sure about this? and am very anxious. my partner has more to lose he has manic depression and is on vallium we have been given weekly pick up in full for our methadone and he gets his vallium monthly hes worried theyl take our privaliges away frm us so has asked me to do it just this once and he will never put me in the position again. if this isnt going to work i dnt even want to try it id rather just come clean and be honest and get the help we need but im not getting through to him and i dnt wnat to make him look bad if he lies and i tell the truth. thanks.

I don't think u can pass that way by adding methadone to your urine. I know it builds up in your system over time and depending on the type of drug test, they can see the nanogram levels. I was on it through a pain management doctor and their test was expensive and they ran it through GCMS. On only 45 mg a day I was supposed to be between 1800-2200 nanograms something like that but now I want to look up my records and see for sure so if that number seems off to anyone then I'm not remembering correctly but if they're just running a test to see that u have it in your system and they don't send it in then I wouldn't try to receive it, especially if you're on methadone through a program, don't they just raise your dose if they think you're using it? Idk I've also heard that heroin shows up as morphine because of the way it metabolizes but I'm not sure if that would make a difference in your situation. I am curious tho if adding a drug to the urine sample would actually have it show up as positive. I mean how would u add it?

It worked for me. I added a small amount to a small amount of water, and then added it, and it worked in the simple positive/negative drug test that I had to pass. THANK GOD! I HAVE to use xanax and my pain management Dr. won't let me all of a sudden. I've been prescribed it by a psychiatrist for 10 years for panic attacks and ptsd. Now my psych Dr. took my prescription. It's like they expect my panic attacks to disappear because too many people go crazy with their meds!! It's BULLSH** really!

Do They test the urine to see if it is male pee or female pee? Along with testing it for methadone and what ever else they test for....

Yeah I would agree with the person who told you it will not show up in the clean urine like it went through your digestive system so you will be caught so best thing to do is be honest too your couselar and ask for more help you and your friend might need to be apart from each other until you both are strong enough to be back in one another's company with out thinking about getting high anymore,right now you guys are poison for each other gotta keep it real I know what the drug addict life is like so I'm just giving my opinion wish you both the best

It worked for me, but only on the immediate test. My Dr. doesn't send them off unless their positive for something that shouldn't be in there.

If ur clinic f***s you over and punishes u like that u need a new clinic. F*** letting them down...They know who u are...Its all part of getting clean. U are worried about letting down the wrong people. I say find clean methadone pee and next time remember how sorry and whiny you were after feeling high and don't do it. My clinic gives u a second chance and then only take one step away. Once u give them two consecutive clean u/a's u get ur s*** back.

Know this post isn't recent but the tests my unit use has changed recently as have a lot in the UK and you can't add methadone to clean urine with the new tests as you could the old ones. The new tests can tell if the methadone was taken and has passed through your system, so adding a few drops after can't be done now as they can tell. I have been stable on my methadone for years but prob about every 2 months I take heroin and crack, and seeing as I don't smoke cigarettes or anything or drink at all I don't see doing this as the worst thing or as a failure or not doing well; but if it made me do a positive it would be seen as such. So be good. If I knew how to make the new tests show clean and like the methadone has passed through me, I did wonder if putting a few drops in, then boiling it would work?

Basically it depends on the kind of tests your unit is using. In the UK the tests they have always used have been easy to put a drop of methadone in and it always worked but over the last few months the units in uk have all started using new tests that can show if the methadone has been through your system so you can't do it now. So basically it depends which test kits your unit is using.

Curious,good morning first and congrats on trying to get some help,now from my understanding you can not add any thing to urine outside of your body to imitate the cycle that the human body does you have to drink the methadone and urinate it because the body has certain process it goes through and it shows up in the urine test that is taken.Hope I explained the answer well enough curious hangin there I'm a methadone client and it saved my life from the street hustle and bustle 100%
