Can I Use Suboxone Just To Get Off Heroin (Page 2)

hi, I'm 21 years old and got into the habit of shooting up heroine. I was wondering how long it would take for the withdraw symptoms to go away if I use soboxone to get off of the heroin. I was doing suboxone before and actually got addicted to that also. Nd then I couldn't get any suboxin so I was really sick nd I ended up getting heroin. I only did heroine for about 2 weeks. I was wondering how long I should take the suboxone to get clean from the h. I want to quit everything. I want to live my life the way it was supposed to be lived. Free of drugs. So if anyone could let me know how long I should do the subs before I quit them so I won't withdrawal so bad. Thank you for your time.

I'm going threw bad withdraws from heroin and it been bout 48hrs since mynlast fix I've been addict for yrs and I got ahold of subs
From a friend they 8mg /2mg strips I just used two them and my wd is bad I want to sleep I can't my back killing my legs spasming belly hurts not sure how much longer I can take it.. ne advice or words of wisdom I know Im close to being free from heroin just have no one to talk to bout it bc Ive hidden it for years from my loved one

Suboxone is a detox drug, if all you wanna do is get through the wd's then 3-5 days and 16mg a day Max!! is all you need.

Hi, my name is Alexys. My boyfriend is addicted to heroine. He has stopped doing it twice now by taking subs. But when ever things get tough and stressful he relapses. He just told me 2 nights ago that he started using again.. I don't know what to do? He says he wants help, and he wants to get clean. He thinks he can just take subs again and he'll be fine but I'm afraid it wont work.. And if it does only for a short time period till he relapses again. I need answers :(((

Me n my husband r trying to get off h. We've been on it for a yr straight every day, never missed in a day, 100-300 bucks a day, spilt it straight down the middle. we started suboxone yesterday, like 2mg of it and he went into PW even though it had been 13/14 hours since the last dose. I was a little better, just felt bad. well he went 24 hours with out a dose then found a rinse we had put back for hard times. he did it and felt better. now he's gonna try an go another 24 with out anything. he's detoxed before, five times to be exact; cold turkey all five an made it. anyways I took my quarter of a sub an hour ago. my belly is upset and today I feel worse. Why?? Any info would help. thanks for listening n I know it sounds dumb but would a small dose of opiates make this belly sickness go away? not enough to feel high, just enough to make my belly stop hurting so bad?? I don't have enough sub to take anymore today, that's y I asked. Thanks everyone.

Hi, I actually cleaned myself up with very little WD, by switching between Heroin and Subs, but it takes a lot of self control.
I was on H, for about 6 month, doing 10 begs a day, switched to subs, 8mg per day, for about a month, then started tapering off, down to 1mg per day, stayed on that dose for a couple of weeks, then started to take it every other day, for 2 more weeks, then switched back to heroing, doing a very little amount (1/4 of a bag, when the WD started to bother me, did that for a couple of days,), then stopped everything, after 2 days being basically fine, had some WD , bearable, waited till they started bothering me (24 hours), took 1 more mg of sub, and that was it, after 3 days had some WD symptoms, but really nothing major, very mild which I overcame with exercises and staying busy, they lasted for 2-3 days, and that was it.
I basically gave my body time to taper off from both drugs.
Of course everyone is different and react differently to drug use and abstinence, but that worked for me.

My boyfriend just died too. I'm sorry for ur loss. But I was so sad that I started taking opiates. Now 3 months after he's gone I still think he's coming home, although his ashes are beside me. I won't od no matter how hard I try. So why do opiates? So I just waited 19 hrs, longest in over 90 days, and I just took a sub and I feel horrible still. I know I have to deal with this but it's so f***ing hard.
