Can A Urine Test Sent To The Lab Tell If I Took Sudafed Or It Was Used Make Methamphetamine And Did That

I am in pain management and am prescribed oxycodone, lyrica,and elavil. I had a UA last month so I didnt expect one this month so I didn something I have NEVER done before. I tried "meth" or "high speed chicken feed". Plz dont judge me. I know it was stupid and its not something I will ever do again, but I was out of my meds, felt like crap and this was offered to me. I was told it would give me some energy and IF I was tested would only show up as ephedrine because its made with sudafed, and all I had to do was tell my doc I had taken the sudafed. I didnt do much. I did one little line (it burnt too bad) and smoked a few hits from a pipe. But my doc appt. was the next day and he threw a UA on me. Even worse, he told me my prior UA tested positive for klonapin, which I know for a fact I HAD NOT done, so it was WRONG! But of course he didnt believe me, but did let it slide. He tests in his office by me peeing in a temperaturized cup with a lable on it that says pull back for results. I assume on the cup it shows if there are opiates, benzo, THC,... so for example it would show positive for opiates because I take oxycodone, but he doesnt know if its positive for oxy or tabs or perc...whatever till he sends it to the lab and they tell him which it is. So basically if I were to test positive for methamphetamine wouldnt it show on his cup and then be confirmed bu the lab or wold it NOT show on his cup and still come up when sent to the lab? And if it does come up pos. for meth or amphetamine will telling him I took sudafed work or will he know Im lying? Im scared. I need the oxycodone or I will have no quality of life. I also take injections for my back pain from this doc. I didnt like the meth and would hate to lose my doc and meds over one stupid spur of the moment decision that I would never do again. Plz somebody I need some reassurance. Im driving myself crazy with worry.

Yes, if he sends it to the lab, they can tell exactly what you took due to the metabolites that would be in your urine. That is why when someone shows a false positive for something, the samples are often send to a lab, because the more precise testing done there can tell if someone just took Sudafed or was taking actual illicit substances.

Actually if it shows up fmethaphedami. He would be able to tell if it was Sudafed or not. They have a test that's called a sensitive test and it will show exactly what drug it was.

what will a ua test sent to lab for meth she. I mean what kind of details ? does it show how much you used or when etc...?

I took a ua that goes to a lab, and could only provide a couple tablespoons of urine. I recently had cannabis, and am not sure if they have enough to test it. The woman that collects the sample said it wasn't enough but she will send it anyway.

Sudafed comes up positive for ephedrine but they can tell the difference when sent to the lab if it's methamphetamine or Sudafed due to methamphetamine showing up as ephedrine and amphetamines.

Telling him it was Sudefed wouldn't work because it doesn't have amphetimine in it, or in your case methamphetimine which the only difference between a and m is amphetimine doubled is meth

I have been going to a pain clinic for 4 years...I have never ever done drugs. I'm diabetic and have a fatty liver...why in this world would my urine test say I used cocaine?? Please advise.

I'm pisssssed! I feel something shady is going on. I went for a pre-employment drug screen, had a slight argument with the front window csr, today is WEDNESDAY & it is just NOW being sent to the lab, I took it SATURDAY! how can an accurate reading be collected on 5 days OLD urine? Is this a set up IYO?

I had methamphetamine on Wed and the following Tue I took a urine test. My Dr said it was close to being positive for methamphetamine and sent it to the lab. Will he know I took methamphetamine or is there ANYTHING ELSE I can tell him? He also said I was close for benzo and I haven't took a benzo in three years. PLEASE TELL ME IF THERE'S ANYWAY I CAN CONVINCE HIM OTHERWISE. TRUST ME I'VE LEARNED MY LESSON!!!

I failed my drug test at my pain doc with a faint line for methamphetamine and amphetamine. He sent it to the lab and then dismissed me. Please tell me if there is anything over the counter that could have caused this false positive? Please help me. I DO NOT do methamphetamine and I need to continue going to my doctor.
