Camber Pharmaceuticals Generic Percocet (Page 2)

Just got Camber Pharm generic Percocet at Walgreens instead of the Actavis brand. It's giving me an upset stomach and causing me to feel weird. Has anyone else had a similar reaction?

Ive been forced to use this 5mg percocet for 15 days. What ive learned; A half of tablet of the Actavis would last me, about 4.5 hrs. Then I might feel a bit of anxiety and some pain. The Camber last about 2.5 hrs and then the anxiety is overwhelming; fast heart beat, short of breath, cant concentrate. The anxiety bothers me more than the pain. Also, excessive gas, with every thing I eat. I eaat very healthy. This crap is highly addictive. I can get a new script on the 19th. I never run out before the script is due. If I cant find Actavis, then I must try something else. These wealthy powerful drug Companys dont give a damned. I wouldnt waste my time reporting it the the FDA; because they receive a huge profit from the Drug Companys. I dont know how these people sleep at night.

I found an independent pharmacy that can order Mylan; which is manufactured in the US. At least for now. (: They carry Teva and have had no problems but that's manufactured in India too. This is pharmacy I can trust nearby. I lived in the town for 25yrs. and they have been there for at least 10. I will keep you posted on any good, or bad news.

Where is the social media page listed. I want to show this information to my MD. Even if I were to get another RX for a different manufacturer , I can not even fill it for thirty days.

The way I understand it is; if the doctor is willing to take the pills you have and write a new script that states (early fill) and call the pharmacy, then you can refill it somewhere else. I could tell a week ago that my Oncologist didn't want to be bothered. Instead, she wrote me a script for an antidepressant. Ridiculous, and I'm not taking it. The last thing I want to do is experiment with an antidepressant right now. Fortunately, I can refill according to the records (prescription monitoring program). As far as the insurance paying, that would be due tomorrow; I never use the prescribed amount. I'm going to call palliative care tomorrow and see if the doctor there will give me a new script. Otherwise, I am calling the oncologist again. Then my plan is to call an independent pharmacy I know and try another manufacturer. What a damned hassle to deal with when you are not feeling well, due to defective medication. The pharmacist at Walgreens has been as helpful as he can be but his hands are tied. Camber is all they are receiving from Corporate Walgreens now.

Hi, do you know why everyone has the camber mfr? I'm familiar with the pharmaceutical company. I have a bottle of pain medicine from camber that has 100 pills. The pharmacy pays $20.00 a bottle from Actavis that has 100 pills, but they have to pay $117.00. This is why everyone has camber on hand. It's all about the money they can make. They don't give a crap about how many people are in agony because their pain is no longer controlled!!! I'm very afraid for myself and all the people who suffer from chronic pain. We are all screwed!

To those of you that are getting Camber Pharmaceuticals from Walgreens, I have good news. At least this week. They are back to Actavis. What a difference in the two. Totally pain free right now... no nausea, dizziness or sleepiness. I hope they keep this manufacturer. Just thought I would drop a good piece of news for those who were suffering like me the past few weeks. Oh, by the way, I’m in Washington State.

Spark has let us know that Walgreens Washington has the Actavis back. I called my local Walgeens (Calif.) and he checked. Just came in yesterday. Some convoluted rule where each manufacturer is limited on the amount of opioids/Percocet they can sell per year. After like a month, they start a new year; yet the pharmacy can buy from another manufacturer and distribute as necessary. Like I said; some convoluted rule made up by our powers that be; since the war on opioids. However, I have read that its something to do with generic company competition. Who knows, we aren't being told the truth but somehow IMO I think the FDA and whoever else is benefiting monetarily at the cost of our misery. I can't believe that these generic drug companies are not even required to disclose the active and inactive ingredients. We get the ingredients on every over the counter drug and food product; yet ingredients are hidden from us in prescribed medications. Everything has side effects and we should be able to read ingredients and determine if its safe for us as individuals. Criminal behavior!

Every phcy has a contract. In every contact...they have a preferred brand. If a phcy does not key in an ndc # it automatically kicks out the preferred brand that the insurance company wants to use. It's all about the bottom line.money..nobody cares about if this crap works for pain patients. I'm so afraid of all of our futures and how bad our quality of life we have will continue to be unbearable!??????????

If a pharmacy does not key in an ndc # it automatically kicks out the preferred brand that the insurance company wants to use.

The fact that i could not get the generic manufacturer that I was using, had nothing to do with the insurance company. I know pharmacist very well and he was completely out of Actavis. When it came in he called me. Im not sure if I read your comment correctly.

I am in north San Diego County and my Walgreens tried to sub the camber for me and I had terrible results and a really a sick stomach! I called and they said I was the second one to complain. They said they had been out of the Actavis but it is now back in stock and they are filling my next prescription with the Actavis. I don't know what the hell to do about the camber as I have just about a month's worth. Walgreens is checking on it for me now. I think it will come down to an insurance issue.

After 22 days on this garbage, I too am really sick to my stomach; in addition to everything else. My stomach is grumbling so loud it keeps me awake. I had diarrhea all night long. Whether the insurance pays or not (the generic Actavis is pretty cheap), the pharmacy will have to have another paper script from the Doctor. At least, thats the way it is in California. This is just awful. Best wishes to you and everyone.

Sorry for being unclear. I meant it will be an insurance issue to try and get a replacement prescription for what I have now and prior to the time to refill the next prescription with Actavis.

The is something called "The prescription monitoring program" (keeps track of your usage according to the dosage on the bottle) that the pharmacist checks. Once due to lack of communication, the doctor wrote my script for immediate release oxy; instead of percocet. I didnt notice and had a bad reaction. It was the weekend and the Doc told me to go to the ER and take the pills. He gave me script after checking my record (pmp). He said just give the pills back to the doctor and he had no problem giving me 15 until I got to the my next doctor appt. I went and got it filled but had to pay $30 for 15 pills. The doctor even called the pharmacist and notified the insurance company that it was an error and he had approval. They refused to pay. So it had nothing to do with control. They just didnt want to pay. I even tried to fight it but they made such a federal case out of it, I gave up; just like they hope you do. If your doctor is willing to take the pills you have and write a new script (note on it early refill), you should be able to fill it but may have to pay. Lots of fun and games.

Think about this, what if your pain got worse legitimately and needed more and the doctor ordered more. The insurance should pay. Out one breath If you ask the insurance company if something is covered; they say it up to your Doctor. These lousy insurance companies look for any excuse not to pay.

Just got switched to Camber and had the same problem, only with ringing in my ears and a stomach issue with no pain relief. The Rx can't be changed. I walked away trusting it would be ok. Wrong! Our pharmacy is following orders over them. There are those who care but the buck don't stop with them. What do we do? Remember where funding comes from. I pray we all get back to being pain-free which seems like a whole lifetime ago. Be safe and well.

Hi Susan, i explained my issue with my insurance in reply #36. Yours ins. might be different and pay; as long as the doctor approves an early refill. Im dealing with Medicaid, manged care plan. It's really "special" (; A real slice of life.

Just filled my monthly script yesterday at Walgreens for Percocet 7.5. Last night I took the first one at 6p. Noticed they were not the same manufacture. I've been on Percocet for 3yrs for spinal stenosis and severe scholios. The manufacture I'm used to is Activis. I can take my last dose at 6p and make it thru the night. NOT last night! So this morning at 9a I took one and I feel like I haven't taken anything. In fact I feel like I'm having withdrawal symptoms. I can't afford to increase my dosage and then come up short at the end of the month. The smell when I open the bottle is very off putting. I will not be filling my script at Walgreens again if this is the manufacture they will be using.
