Just tried Tuzistra XR. Never heard about it before but it works better than Cheritussin AC for my bronchitis. Two teaspoons before bed and slept all through the night without coughing. First good night's sleep in the past 3 days! Would take me at least four teaspoons of Cheritussin AC to do the same thing. As for Tussionex, my family doctor could not call it in for me when I needed something stronger so when I went to see him in person he gave me a prescription for it but it was way too expensive. He called in Tuzistra XR for me instead and I don't wake up coughing anymore and it was cheaper! Going with Tuzistra XR first next time

It showed up bc they tested you for codeine and this syrup as codeine in it.

Cheratussin AC syrup. What good is this stuff? Have had a cough for four days. Took Dayquil and Nyquil (generic), and got some good temporary relief. Cough didn't go away completely though. Then got prescribed the Cheratussin. It did me absolutely no good taking the prescribed amount (1 teaspoon). Wanna find out if you can take quite a bit more than that for relief!!!!! Just took some more Dayquil after that, and ahhhh that nice temporary relief.

I got my cheratussin on 2/27/2017. I took it only 2 times in the morning and night. At nine o-clock in the morning my sugar was 140 before I took it and I checked it at one and it was 445. I ate one slice of wheat bread with lettuce and still my sugar was at 405. I checked it 5 times so I could go to sleep and it was at 245.

I was prescribed the exact same dose and it didn't phase my coughing I upped to 1 tablespoon and it worked. Good news is I only get this episode twice a year.

My partner has bronchitis and.prescribed this. He hasnt.had any relief in 3 days. The regular dosage isn't working. He has a heart condition. Will it hurt for him to take more than prescribed? The 5ml isn't working.

How long can you keep cheratussin a.c. syrup after you pick it up from the pharmacy? I have some from 3/16/2017. Is it still good or is it bad?

In North Carolina, a private ownership pharmacy can sell me Cheratussin OTC, but CVS requires a prescription. Why?
