what is Carb/Levo 25 -100MG
Ralpha,
Carbidopa + Levodopa is an immediate-release formulation of carbidopa-levodopa that is designed to begin release of ingredients within 30 minutes. It is important that Carbidopa + Levodopa be taken at regular intervals according to the schedule outlined by the physician.

My daughter-inlaw takes 100mg of this for restless leg syndrome. Is that what it is used for
My granny has this medicine can anyone explain what exactly it is and what it does for them in simpile non-scientific words for me please?
I found more specific information that it is used for the treatment of Parkinson-like symptoms. In non-scientific terms, that would be
shakiness, stiffness, and difficulty moving.
Myrna,
I don't know if those are some of the symptoms of Restless leg syndrome, but I hope this bit of information is helpful.
does this med cause leg cramps
My Mom has been on Carb/levo tab 25-100 for the last two years. She was put on it when we told the Doctor at her routine checkup that her hand would occasionally have a tremor, no other symptoms and she basically felt good with little memory loss at age 80. He immediately said she probably had Parkinson's and started her on Carb/levo. She started being confused and having some memory loss. Since one of the main side effects of this medicine is confusion, I'm wondering if she might be better off to come off the medicine and see if this medicine is the difference! She has had two CT-scans and there has been no change there in the last 2 years! I'm not even sure she has Parkinson's and we can certainly live with a little hand tremor occasionally! I would rather my Mom be on less medicine and start feeling like herself again. She absolutely hates taking medicines! It was suggested that we put her on Namenda-10mg, last year and the whole time (9 mos.) she was on it she felt terrible, so we asked the Doctor if we could take her off. He said yes and that in fact there were no proven facts that it would even help improve her memory! She did start feeling better, but still gets very confused and repetitive. If she is taken off the medicine, is she taken off gradually? She takes it at 8am, 1pm & 6pm. Thank you for your time.
what is this medication used for other than Parkinson d.? does it help with muscle pain? I belive that is why they have me on it.
I've been taking carb/levo-25-100 for a month. For the last 3 weeks I have been waking at night from discomfort and a sense of pressure under my right side ribs. Is this something related to the medicine?

My husband has been using Carb/Levo 25-100 since his diagnosis 5 years ago. New Neurologist has put him on the ER Carb/Levo which is affecting him badly, confusion, extreme drowsiness and forgetting things. Also has put him on Azilect which seems to do nothing except be very expensive.

My 85 yr old husband has been taking carb/levo 25-100 MG for 3 weeks and has become extremely dizzy. He was diagnosed with small parkinson symptoms. Shakes are not noticable. Would prefer the seldom shakes he had or still has which are hardly noticable.....than the terrible dizziness that has caused several terrible falls.
Don't know how much longer we can tollerate dizziness. Any suggestions?
Other than Carbidopa/Levodopa are there drugs that may help with Parkinson's Disease
I was also given carb/ Levo 25/100 for my small fiber neuropathy in my feet and I'm not diabetic and it scared me when it said it was also used for Parkinson's. I'm now trying vitamins with B1 B12 and alphalipoic acid from Cambell Nutrient Center called Feet and Nerves. I'm hoping this will help.
Limit of 20 grams of protein per day/ the body needs more plus it's in everything! Diet diffulculties and how much time before and after eating before taking medication. Does it have to be a full 2 hours after eating?
