Can you mix Butalbitals with Suboxone? ## Based on my research, there are moderately unsafe interactions found between Buprenorphine and Butalbital. (Buprenorphine is one of the two ingredients found in Suboxone). The drug interaction guidelines note the following: Coadministration with drugs that are inducers of CYP450 3A4 may decrease the plasma concentrations and efficacy of Buprenorphine, which is metabolized in the liver by the isoenzyme. In addition, some of these inducers (anticonvulsants and barbiturates) may have additive central nervous system-depressant effects with Buprenorphine. I hope this info helps! This is generic Fioricet (Butalbital 325mg / Acetaminophen 50mg / Caffeine 40mg) pain medication prescribed for severe migraine and sinus headaches. It has been around for decades. It is not an opiate and this is not considered a "scheduled medication", (yet, the brand name of this medication "Fiorinal" IS labeled a schedule III controlled drug). I took one of my wife headache pills on sat It has 50 mg of butalbitaland took a drug test monday will i pass ## I took the drug test Tuesday ## If they check for Barbiturates, it will most likely be detected, because Butalbital can be detected in urine for approximately 7 days after last dosing. As detailed by the NIH, these types of medication usually start to work within 15 to 20 minutes of taking them, so relief should be felt soon after. my primary dr prescirbed the "butal acet caff" one in Dec 2013 & then my nuerologist said it had aspirin in it so she gave me the "butalbital apap caffeine" today jan 2014 I take coumadin & my blood work has been messed up since dec. anyone know what is the difference between them ## There is no difference between the two you listed, APAP is just medical speak for Acetaminophen, which is what the acet stands for, not Aspirin as the neurologist thought. As to your blood work, what do you mean by messed up? Is your INR fluctuating greatly? ## I have had 3 cervical fusions for a farm injury that resulted in chronic Migraines. After our 20th meeting with a different neurologist yesterday we came away with absolutely no treatment. The only thing that helps my son with his migraine is butalbital with codeine. The neurologist is no longer prescribing this and suggests that he take some aspirin. Last week he had the worst migraine he had ever had in his life and had fallen several times, was slurring his words and could not speak. Is there a difference between the white tablets- WESTWARD 785 and the green capsules that say Lannett 1552 on them? Butalbital/aspirin/caffeine- 40/325/50 - I take 2 tablets and my headache goes away, the green capsules two of them and I throw up, so I'm scared to take them. I am 80 years old and use oxycodone very sparingly for neuropathy. To help prevent possible dependency I usually take one 5mg oxycodone about four hours apart. I weigh 210 pounds and my prescription allows two 5mg pills every six hours, but that dose clouds my thinking even though it does manage pain better. I usually get by with taking one 5mg oxycodone pill no more than three times each day beginning from about 10am. Getting up each morning is the most difficult; If I take two 325mg Butalbital tablets upon arising I seem to get a little boost, so that I can function enough to get going without too much discomfort. I took butalbital / apap / caffeine (50-325-40mg) on Saturday and had a drug test today. Will it show up or how long does it take to leave the system? ## There are 2 types of Firoicet. One has CODEINE... one does not. The one without codeine typically is a WHITE tablet... While the name brand full pill is a grey blue red capsule with CODEINE written on it. ## I took butalbital a month ago and have a hair follicle Monday. Will I be positive that day?

Is there a replacement for butalbital/aspirin/caffeine out there 50/325/50? It was the combo of the drug that worked for me. ## Hi Debbie, I know that you can certainly find Aspirin and Caffeine on there own OTC, but as far as Butalbital is concerned, I think you may have to talk with your doctor or pharmacist about other drugs in the same class of "Barbiturates" (such as Phenobarbital). This combination of meds is most commonly used for treating tension headaches and mild pain relief, but I believe it has a few other uses as well. However, depending on what you plan on using it for, there are plenty of other natural alternatives that are well worth trying in my opinion. I have been on Oxycodone/Acetaminophen 10-325MG, taking 4 daily for about a year for back problems. Recently I ran out for a couple of days and have been feeling like I am going through detox. My doctor has been out of office until tomorrow. My wife has a script of Butalbital/Acetaminophen/Caffeine/Codeine 50-300-40-30.
