Buspirone Vs Xanax

Do the pills have the same purpose or side effects? Do they look alike? They're both white & break into parts.

They can both be used to treat anxiety, but they are not in the same class of medications.

Buspirone is classified by the FDA as an anxiolytic, but Xanax is a Benzodiazepine that is used to treat panic disorders, anxiety, and some forms of insomnia, it also carries the risk of being habit forming, though Buspirone does not. Other side effects may be similar and include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and drowsiness.

Are there any markings on the tablets in question? What shape are they?
