Buprenorphine 8 Milligram Sublingual Tablet Availability

I need a pharmacy that carries the buprenorphine sublingual 8 milligram tablets besides Walmart

It depends upon where you live, but my local Walgreens carries them, and a few locally-owned pharmacies do too. One thing is most pharmacies won't tell you over the phone, you're gonna have to go in and ask the pharmacist :/ I know that's rough sometimes, aside from the issue of driving all over creation from pharmacy to pharmacy there's the weird feeling that you're being judged by the pharmacist... There's a lot of totally unnecessary stigma around taking any controlled substance, especially bupe and methadone. Just hold your head high, remind yourself that you're okay exactly how you are and nobody has any right to judge your life, be polite and straightforward, and ask "do you carry this medication?". And bring your prescription with you! Good luck, I hope you find it without any trouble ^_^

Absolutely! Great advice. I get the same looks you were speaking of myself and I was prescribed sub INSTEAD of pain meds to prevent future addiction! I go to a pain management doctor and had the option to take pain meds or subs ad I chose subs ...they work great for my pain. They aren't only prescribed for opiate addiction. They are also prescribed for treatment of pain. I find myself reminding many pharmacists of that when they look down their nose at me. I won't be made to feel less than bc they dont know me or my struggle. So f***k them. Hold your head up and do what you need to do to be the best version of yourself!

Hello Monica,

RaeBae gives some excellent advise! The thing about pharmacies is that they are a business and in order to protect themselves they discourage their employees from revealing what medicines they have and how much of it they carry. This is primarily to avoid people calling in to "scope out" which pharmacies would be the most profitable to steal from.

On the down side, this means that you're going to need to bring your prescription with you to a different number of pharmacies trying to find the medicine you are looking for. On the up side, I haven't heard of many people having a difficult time finding sublingual tablets anywhere in the states.

If for some reason you do end up having a difficult time finding someone who carries your medication it might be in your best interest to ask your doctor where his other patients go to fill their scripts. More often than not if you struggle to find a pharmacy other patients have already been through it and discussed this problem with the doctor so they will have an answer readily available for you.
