Brown Gel Cap

the female end of the capsule says "rph' in lowercase letters over "V21" where the v is capitalized. the lower or male end of the capsule says only "150". all scoring is white. i found this capsule in my son's car, and would like to know what it as do not want him to hurt himself by trying out drugs that are not his. i am in canada if that matters.

I located a match for this pill and it is in fact from Canada. The manufacturer's description of the pill is stated as follows:

Each extended release hard gelatin capsule with dark orange cap and body filled with white to off-white pellets, with "rph" and "v21" written in white ink on the cap and "150" written in white ink on the body, contains venlafaxine HCl equivalent to venlafaxine base 150 mg.

Inactive ingredients include:
dibutyl sebecate, ethyl cellulose, povidone, and sugar spheres; capsule: gelatin, global red iron oxide, global yellow iron oxide, and titanium dioxide; white ink: butyl alcohol, dehydrated alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, povidone, propylene glycol, shellac, sodium hydroxide, and titanium dioxide.

Venlafaxine is an anti-depressant used primarily for the treatment of depression, general anxiety disorder, social phobia, panic disorder, and vasomotor symptoms.
