I had to take Xarelto due to two sinus venous thrombosis in my head. 8 weeks of heparin injections showed no side effects. But with the first day of taking Xarelto my body reacted by retaining water. Within the first three weeks I gained 24.46 lb hill exercising 5 times a week and eating as I always did. After retaining more and more water I stopped taking it after three months. I started with a weight of 120 lb at a height of 5''8 and now I weigh 157 lb. I have to ad that I started taking it in the middle of March and stopped taking it at the end of June. I was not able to loose any water/weight. I eat less than I always did before even while I exercise. All doctors couldn't find the one thing that changed through Xarelto. Has anybody ever experienced something like this wh...

Well, I am very disappointed as I have been going to the same pharmacy for years and today I was shorted on meds (Xarelto), which I paid for and did not receive. Has anyone else had this happen to them lately? If so, what can be done about it? ## Hello Belinda! How are you? I'm very sorry about what happened. The best thing to do would be to return to the pharmacy and inform them that you were shorted on your prescription. Pharmacies do keep count of medications, so they should be able to figure out what happened on their end, and possibly provide you with the missing medication. I've had this happen, before, and never had a problem getting my pharmacy to provide the missing amount. If it were a controlled substance, it might be a different story, but Xarelto doesn't fall in...

If anyone else experienced these symptoms, how long after being off the xarelto did symptoms go away? ## According to the US National Library of Medicine, all of the side effects you mentioned are typical of Xarelto (Rivaroxaban). They actually list "back pain" as one of the more common side effects patients experience, along with "arm/leg pain" being less common. It also goes on to list "joint or muscle pain", but declares it under a category called "incidence not known". Ref: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0045374/#DDIC603481.side_effects_section From my perspective, I'd say the severity of these symptoms could potentially outweigh the benefits of the medication itself. Have you had a chance to sit down with your doctor and go over any of this yet...

When I got my rx filled, they were dispensed as benzo's. I refuse to take them until I find out more about them as I've never had pink benzo tablets before. One side has A at the top, then 338 underneath, the other side is a crescent moon (perhaps crescent brand?) with a R next to it? ## These are warfarin 1mg tablets in UK. These could be fatal i.e. bleed to death. ## Yes, that’s exactly it. ## Did you find out what they were? I've just found some and Idk what they are

I may have accidently taken a double dose of eliquis early this morning. I am suppose to take one 5 mg twice a day. Usually at nine and nine. I think I could have taken two pills in am. Unfortunately I have a second occurrence of atrial flutter. While waiting for my cardiologist to decide next steps I was out on eliquis. When I got to the pharmacy I was informed the cost could be $500 for a 30 day supply. But thankful the pharmacist informed of a coupon to bring it down to a $10 copay. While I completed the online application she filled my prescription. Another example of the crazy run away cost of drugs and physicians prescribing with little concern of the patients cost. Thankfully this pharmacist did the right thing. Here is the web site for the coupon ## Hello Doug, how are you? That's wonderful, I'm glad your pharmacist was so helpful. Can someone please help me identify these pills? They are blue-speckled pills with an R and a thin crescent moon on one side and A 324 on the other with a score between the A and 324.... Thank you ## Hey I've got the same pills. They were marketed as 10mg Valium, however I don't trust them and rightly so as I can't for the life of me trace them. The closest I got from searching was that they are black market, so could have benzodiazepine in them or none at all. A pal of mine was willing to try one and he said he felt a short lived effect. His UDS came up positive for benzos but to be fair he did take a 20mg temazepam too. I know it's not much to go on. I don't recommend black market pills as you don't know how much of the active ingredient is in each pill. I'...

My father's been having high blood pressure for the last 4+ years. He is a TB cured individual (not consuming sugar). My question is, why was Deplatt 75mg prescribed and how long should it be taken for? ## I've been taking Deplatt 75mg since 2007 and would like to know how long I should continue treatment? ## Has this been discussed with either of the relevant doctors? I researched the issue and found that potato powder was advised. Can anyone tell me if this is a good product to use and is there anything better? I know someone with AFib and I am trying to compare the pros and cons of Coumadin vs NOAC. Also the doctor said Coumadin requires INR testing and NOAC does not. Is this really a benefit? Is INR testing really that cumbersome? As far as I know the INR testing needs to be done at Anticoagulation Clinics or use a home-monitor device. Has anyone found home-monitor better than clinics in terms of data transfer to the doctor? I am not sure if the clinics at CVS and Duane Reade offer the test. I am trying to collect as much information as possible, so any guidance and feedback is appreciated. ## Most people prefer the other medications, due to the fact that INR testing must be done very regularly, requiring a finger stick, which may be painful… and most doctors will not let you have it d...

I was scheduled for a laminectomy because my spinal stenosis had become so painful that it was even causing horrible cramping / muscle spasms all around my lower legs and feet. I was forced to sleep sitting up with my feet on the floor or the cramping would eject me from my bed. Because I was in a seated position and not moving for many hours, I developed DVT in my left leg. I should also note that my feet and ankles were extremely swollen but this is a common side effect of Amlodipine which is a PB med. Also, even though no DVT was detected in my right leg, I was having pain in my right calf that was getting progressively worse until after three days I needed a cane to walk. I was put on Eliquis 10 mg twice a day and within three days the swelling in my feet and ankles has completely d...
