I've also been taking prescription Clonazepam for about a year now 0.5MG's a day. My body is not the same as it use to be I wish I never picked up a joint in my life. Now I recently developed hypertension not high im just at the pre stage. My father died by stroke & my mother in law also died by stroke. I want to know is there any liquid/medicine/tablets in the indian market that have been known to cause uncontrollable blood pressure, or are responsible for stroke? I am researching the reason for their death. Please help me... thank you ## I'm so sorry to read your story. I am 38 years old and had 3 massive strokes in December 2016! My strokes were a result of being over medicated with blood pressure medicine! I was taking clonidine .2 mg. You would think BP meds would keep a person's BP lower but mine caused massive strokes! Any BP med can do that! They switched me to lisunopril 10 MG and 2 weeks later I had a 4th stroke... medicine can and does cause strokes!
How much is too much blood and how long will this symptom continue after stopping losartan potassium? ## That is not a normal side effect and you should have it checked out by a medical professional, according to NIH reports, it could be the symptoms of another serious health issue. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Has there been any change? Are you on any other medications?
Is lisinopril 20-12.5 much different than the 20 mg? If not, I can get the 20 mg for free at the drug store, but I have to pay for the 20-12.5. ## Yes, the active ingredients are different. One contains Lisinopril with Hydrochlorothiazide, while the other just contains Lisinopril and you should take the one your doctor feels is best for you. The FDA lists the typical side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, dehydration, and hypotension. Which one has been prescribed for you?
I Accidentally took two 5mg Ramipril and my dose is one. As anyone wonders, should I worry? ## That's really not a dangerous dosage, though it could cause more severe side effects than usual, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and lowered blood pressure, according to FDA warnings. However, it is always best to double check with a medical professional. Are you on any other medications?
I've been taking this for many years and have had tiredness, muscle tiredness, shortness of breath and my feet feel like lead. I'm taking 6.25mg nightly. Anyone else have symptoms with this med? ## Those can be normal side effects, along with nausea, dizziness, and dehydration, according to FDA reports. However, there is also a chance that they could be due to dehydration. How much fluid do you take in each day? Are you on any other medications? What have you recent BP readings been?
I am taking Losartan 100 mg and also Losartan/HCTZ 100-12.5 mg. Is this safe? Should I take them at the same time of day? I am having a problem with my kidneys. Could this be the reason? ## my pharmacist stated that it should be taken in the morning. ## Did you doctor provide you with any special instructions? It might be easier to split them up, taking one in the morning and one night. Many people prefer to take a medication with HCTZ in the morning, since it can cause increased urination as a side effect, according to the FDA, and they don't want their slumber disrupted. You should, of course, always follow your doctor's instructions, though. Yes, the one with the HTCZ could be affect your kidneys. Has your doctor done a blood panel to check? Are you making sure not to become ...
oblong tablet, G282 imprint on back, scored on front to break in half ## I could not find anything with that marking in the US prescription drug database listings, however, Metoprolol is the generic for Lopressor or Toprol, the ER stands for extended release. This is used to lower blood pressure and reduce the work load on your heart. ## I got the generic equivalent to Toprol XL 50 mg tablet used for high blood pressure treatment. I wanted to double check prior to taking the medication. My METOPROLOL ER 50 MG tablets also are an oblong tablet, G282 imprint on back, scored on front to break in half. Although the G was hard to read because of the triangular shape of the letter G. I just refilled the same perscription again. The new pills are more like Toprol XL. They are round with the co...
hello, i am on 100mcg's of clonidine twice a day (morning and night) for anxiety and have been having a really hard time with the induced drowsiness. i was wondering if anyone else experienced this and how long it takes your body to get used to it to the point that i'm not falling asleep in the middle of the day. thank you ## How long have you been taking it? According to the FDA side effects are usually transient and tend to go away after about 4 to 5 weeks, once your body gets used to the medication. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and sedation. Are you on any other medications? How are you feeling, now? Has there been any change?
Can you please suggest alternative medication to Metoprolol Succinate ER + Amlodipine 50/5 mg [taken for High Blood Pressure] that does not cause erectile dysfunction? ## All medications that are used to treat hypertension and cardiac conditions risk causing erectile dysfunction as a side effect, it's just due to the nature of how they work on the cardiovascular system. So, unfortunately, there isn't any particular drug that can be recommended. What you really have to do is work with your doctor to find what works for you, while causing the least amount of problematic side effects. I understand that it's very frustrating, I am very sensitive to medications myself and it took months before we found some medications that worked for me, without making me miserable. Here's a...

My Dr. took me off lisinopril-hctz because of headaches and body weakness. I felt better with the losartan 50mg but my blood pressure shot up to 200/100. Would the losartan work in a combo with lisinopril-hctz; possibly taking the losartan in the evening? ## Do not mix meds. Pharmacist told me that. I was taken off Lisinopril and switched to Losartan 50 mg a day. Blood pressure does not stay regular. I get dizzy. I hate bp meds. I hope we get this straightened out. Losartan seems to be better so far but I am scared that my BP will not get better. Just do not mix medications. Call your doctor and he can adjust. Good luck. ## Juan again on the conversation lisinapril-hctz and losartan,I suffer from chronic pain that can attack me at anytime, but I noted that when i changed from lisinapril-...

Has anyone experienced nightly nightmares that seriously disturb sleep while taking this medication. ## ABSOLUTELY.... I started having bizarre dreams as soon as I started to take it. I then progressed to very vivid nightmares and now I do not want to sleep because of it. Not the wonder drug they say it is. I want off it and as soon as I can convince my doctor, I am getting as far away from it as I can. It also has caused me to gain over 30 pounds and I am far from a couch potato. ## I have insomnia a lot. Nightmares almost every night. and they make me miserable. They seem to go on and on. Headaches during the day. I was a person who never had headaches and was a very sound sleeper. I always joked that you could take the bed out from under me and I wouldn't know it. Not any more! #...

I asked if my doseage shpuld be reduced or if I should just stop taking it. He told me that I'm on such a low dose that I shall be fine to just stop abruptly. The next day I stopped and my heart rate wad resting at 115 all day. By 6pm my bp was spiking at 170/100 and a heart rate of 130. My blood pressure is now 120/75. Should I continue taking the Tellzy ch 80mg? How will I know when it's time to stop treatment? ## Hi, Sultana! How are you? Yes, you should continue with your medication as long as your doctor instructs you to keep taking it. If it is the only thing that has lowered your blood pressure, it could start to go up again if you stop taking it. Additionally, if you stop taking it suddenly, rather than tapering it gradually, you could suffer a rebound effect which could cause your blood pressure and heart rate to go up to dangerous levels. ## My doctor prescribed me Tellzy-ch 80, but it is very costly to buy. Can you recommend any alternative low price tablet?

I am now 70, Indian, fish-eating, diabetic (type-1). I had been taking telma-h for a few years until 2008. i underwent brain surgery for hemorrhage due to a fall in 2008. i was tested to be hyponatremic (sodium consistently below 128). my medication was changed to telma plus amlodipine, nebistar. but sodium never rose beyond 130. recently i got tested for electrolyte. potassium continues to be normal like before, but sodium is 122; calcium and chloride are also below normal. for diabetes i take glycephase and glynase (now stopped by the physician) plus mixtard/novomix insulin. my energy level has been going down although i am still active intellectually (reading, writing, lecturing). right since my childhood days, i have a strong craving for salty and sour food. what can be the reason f...
I recently started taking Lisinopril 2.5mg about 2 weeks ago at bedtime. It was decided because I am so sensitive to medications to start on the lowest dose. It was suggested at this time because in the morning it is quite high. However, it is still high (this morning it was 155/95 and has been higher) but then it goes down throughout the morning and day. Why? Also, I've noticed that my mouth during the night is very, very dry and I wake up about 3 times per night to take a sip of water. Could this be causing the reading? Also, does it just take more time to begin to show a lowering of BP, especially in the morning? ## It may take 4 to 5 weeks for this medication to reach its full level of efficacy in your body to see how well it will work for you. The FDA lists the typical side eff...
